The best way to hang your lights
After having some sloppily hung string lights for a couple of years, I was trying to figure out the way to get them to hang "tight" to the eaves of my porch, and thus give me more even lighting of the porch at night. I don't remember how I found this product through an Amazon search, but I realized that it was exactly what I needed.Previously, I had put up some stainless steel eyes and just draped the string lights from the eyes. I realize that I could not put tension on the string light cord tight enough to get the effect that I wanted, so this product allows you to set a guidewire of 1/16 inch stainless steel wherever you want the string lights to hang. Then you attach the string lights with the included zip ties to the wire. If your wire guide isn't tight enough, you can tighten it with the included stainless steel turnbuckles. The ends of the wire are secured by looping them back to themselves with stainless steel wire clamps so swage fittings and tools are not required. The kit comes with multiple options for suspending the guide wire: eye bolts, hooks, clasps, and even a stainless steel ring that you can put in the center if you want to suspend the lights between some trees or posts going out in radial directions (I did not use this feature). Additionally included are screws, wall anchors, zip ties, and some other assorted hardware. All of that is stainless steel in order to be weatherproof. While you can find all of these products separately, it would take great effort to find them both in the correct sizes, in reasonable numbers, and made all of stainless steel – AZEXCEL has done that for you. There are detailed instructions that even go into the basic biology of how trees grow, and why you do not want to wrap a wire around a growing tree permanently, but would be much better to attach the wire to an eyebolt placed into the tree – Now that is a complete set of instructions, not only telling you what to do but why!Customer service is absolutely excellent. The creator of the product response to emails for questions. In my case, he even found me a waterproof wireless dimmer that I could order through Amazon to use to control my new Costco-purchased FEIT LED string lights (that Palawell wireless dimmer, by the way, is: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H4KW7RK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1).I have included pictures of my installation. You made note from the pictures that you can't see the string light hanging kit, except for some of the separate larger eyebolts that I had installed prior to purchasing this kit. That's the idea of why I included the pictures – all you see is the porch and string lights, which is what you want. The bottom line is that if you are hanging string lights from your porch, between two trees, across your yard, under a pergola, or almost anywhere else, this string light hanging kit is the way you want to do it.

Everything you need, but quality wasn't there for us
This package had everything we needed to hang our lights, and I appreciated the 316 rating of the parts. The manual was also an excellent addition to the package. The cable is stated to be 1/16th of an inch, which is slightly over 1.5mm. The cable we got was 1.2mm, which is more like 1/20th of an inch. For my installation I needed more cable than this kit provided so I ordered additional 1/16th stainless cable and the size difference is quite noticeable.Unfortunately we had two problems with our kit.1) The spring on one of the carabiners was stuck in the open position, making it unusable.2) A bigger disappointment was that we found two spots where individual strands of the cable were broken. We noticed the broken strands, which are pointy, when running our hands over the cable when unwinding. Luckily we were able to cut around the breaks we found and still get the lengths we needed. Unluckily I woke up two days later and found my lights on the ground. The cable had broken at one of the U-shaped attachment points. We only had two bulbs break, so it wasn't too bad.We didn't have enough cable left over to replace the entire run, so I had to terminate each side of the break. I had used all of the termination points and cable clamps from the kit already, so I had to buy the extra pieces at the hardware store to fix the break.Everything has been holding for over a week now. We're hoping the installation makes it through the rest of the fall and in the spring we'll probably replace the cables with something thicker.

Everything you need to hang your light strings in one box
This is a great kit. While I haven't actually installed it yet the directions are clear and concise so I don't expect to have any problems. I've been thinking about installing light strings for a long, long time but never got around to gathering up all the parts I thought I'd need. I was thrilled to find a kit that included everything I'd need for the job, plus all the parts are of high quality. Only thing I need now is a tall ladder so I can install the eyebolt in a pine tree and finally get the project done.

Easy to use! (We are not super handy)
Since we’ve been staying at home All. The. Time., we updated our patio to get more enjoyment out of bribery at home. Bought the heavy duty Edison bulb string lights (at Costco - highly recommend), and this set to make sure once they were up they would stay up! Honestly, we considered asking our engineering friends for assistance... the task seemed daunting at first. But with a rough drawing, lots of “measure twice, cut once”, and positive attitude - this set was awesome to use! Has everything you need, right down to drill bits. Instructions are easy to follow. Results are great!

Everything you need is in this kit.
I bought two kits to use with putting up (5) 48' strings of cafe lights. There are plenty of pieces and parts included, so there are a lot of options as to how hang up lights. The instructions are very thorough and well written with actual pictures. We put everything up a couple of weeks ago in mostly a zigzag pattern along my patio and across the rest of the back yard and it looks great. The zip ties included are a huge help in keeping lights up the way we want without too much sagging. I'll be sure to update this later with photos.

Depending on your project, may need additional hardware - not deal breaker
I still gave 5 stars. My project was 144 feet of lights. Deck is 10 ft wide, by 40 feet long. This was a great starter kit. Just to buy the cable from the big box stores cost more than this kit. This kit included the majority of what I needed. I did have to purchase 7 more of the buckle straps, just due to my project. If our deck was not so long, I could have made this work without additional buckles.
