I had been using one of those wooden poles (with a small blade and a bit of wire brush for £12) and compared to that, this is like a Rolls Royce. In 5 minutes I managed to remove several weeds that I was unable to do before (it was taking me about 45 seconds for a single weed) this is a case of two carefully placed gliding strokes over the weed and it's totally removed from the block paving (root and all). It also says it has a 10 year guarantee, so I am VERY happy! I highly recommend it! Review: spear&Jackson, long enough, well for me definitely, For most, I think, and a very nice tool. - I haven’t been outside with this yet, but Im impressed with it. I find it painful to squat or kneel down with the short version, my arthritis really gives me jip. This however, fills me with confidence that I’ll now get the job done, and, without pain. It looks and feels like a substantial ,functional and quality tool. There must be a knack to it The pole won’t extend.** A: You have to twist the top and bottom in opposite directions. Then extend to length you require. Then lock the shift by retwisting it in opposite directions. **Q: Does this tool remove moss** A: Its a very sharp blade on a long handle. Yes it would but not the most effective tool for shifting moss.
