Whoa. These are the ones! BUT...
Shopped for more than an hour for these bad boys since they needed to work, in wilds of Maine that had no cell service. The appearance may be cheap plastic, at least to folks old enough to remember the StarTac or even CB radios of yore, but they are relatively rugged and do their job extremely well. Not a life changer fortunately but for groups that contain shutterbugs or others who dawdle behind the group in forest or ocean waters, these are just the thing to end problems. Like what Waze did for directions. The tech is solid. You keep it on and it doesn't make a noise unless the other party calls. I believe they use this model at the large gym we use, to communicate clearly and reliably among 20 person staff. Battery v good. Update: Got one wet, just a little bit. Pffftzt! Nothing Nothing Nothing less useful than one walkie talkie.

Left me stranded when I needed them to work
I bought these just over a year ago and theyโve got light use. I used them today during a test run on my jet ski and the jet ski died in the harbor, fyi they were in a dry bag. I needed to contact my wife that was onshore to give her an update and I went to use my radio, after it was fully charged the night before, and it was dead. Luckily I donโt go offshore without a solid VHF radio to contact harbor patrol or vessel assist and I used that radio to call my wife, who I made sure before I left had her monitor channel 16 on her VHF radio as a back up. I was able to get my message to her so she didnโt worry because I knew it would take me an hour to get back to the dock getting towed in, when it should have only been a 10 minute ride in on a working ski. A simple radio with the words โprofessionalโ in the title should work professionally when you need it too. Another gripe is changing channels, so ridiculous on the round about way to do so. I should have just purchased the Baofeng two way radios back then when my old ones got stolen, lesson learned and brand new Baofeng radios on the way. Also Baofeng radios are about as simple as it gets to using them and they work great over a long distance.

Everything worked and manual is written in perfect English.
I read the manual and followed the steps from finding the on off button, to setting up the channels, etc., and everything worked. Only reason I give a 4 star is because I haven't had a chance to test it out more extensively. I planned to use these walkie talkies to communicate with the wife when she guides me to back up the trailer, and other outdoor activities. If everything worked as planned, I will likely give this product a 5 star. Will update after the summer.
