Big, bold and packed with info and recipes
If you’re going to buy one cookery book for Chinese food, this should be it. I’ve been cooking for some 50 years and have amassed quite a collection in that time, starting in the early 1970’s with Ken Hom.This book is huge. It’s beautifully presented, with recipes based on regions. In addition to some 300 recipes, the book is packed with information about cooking style and explains how and why recipes vary from one area to another. There are few weird ingredients and methodology is well explained. Colour on every page and it makes your mouth water just browsing through it. I absolutely love this book. Great whether you’re a novice or experienced and a welcome addition to any collection.
