Wow, this motor is very quiet compared to the original Pentair motor. The Pentair motor was light duty, only used as a infinity edge feature pump and probably ran less then 30 hours over the last four years. It always screamed/screeched when running and Pentair and their distributor said that the screech was normal. You can form your own opinion about that.The new motor runs quiet and smooth and doesn't screech and from what I can tell so far is a far superior motor for less cost. The installation was pretty straight forward and you can find Youtube videos to assist.Like the other reviews mention, the gaskets come in a separate package which can be confusing. The pump housing gasket was too small but the original gasket was in good shape and I reused it. The other aftermarket gaskets were fine.

Prior my pump/motor/defusser was leaking and started making a terrible whining noise. Order the motor and kit and then an impeller. Motor install was normal, the impeller replacement would not sit completely in place so the impeller lock screw wouldn't go back in place. Probably not completely necessary. So I used my old impeller and the lube and returned the new impeller. Refund was prompt. No other o ring, gasket would kit but the SEALS, SEALED the deal. System working fine nice and quite and no leading. Thanks

I had my pentair whisperflo 1.5 hp pool pump go out on me a week ago. After looking up replacements and seeing how expensive they were I started to do some researched and quickly learned that in most cases the Motor is the only issue.I took on the task and replaced it myself. This model was a perfect replacement. Better then the one that was on before.Took me less then an hour to get it done. YouTube videos help for any installment questions.

My last pump was screaming so I purchased this kit. The pump was shipped but with no O ring or seal kit. I was about to send an email in but two days later we received a second package with the seals. Install was quick and easy. She’s now as quiet as ever. I think the seller should warn the potential buyers that the items will be shipped separately as the past reviews has several complaints about the missing kit.

They initially forgot to include the seal kit but they made it right and sent it out right away after notification. The motor works great.

easy install. nice and quiet. only problem was the o-ring seal didn't fit on our motor. still trying to find one. left the old one on and have a small leak at bottom, but everything else is great. just a minor problem that we can fix.

The motor was an easy to install replacement for my Pentair WF-26 pool pump and seems to be running fine. I would have given 5 stars had I received the GO kit as was indicated in the product description. I had to install a seal that I had previously purchased.
