Perfect metric straightedge
This is a really well-made steel ruler, and the slightly bent tail lets you tilt it up off the table to pick it up without any scrabbling / sliding, which is a nice touch. If I could read Japanese, the Imperial conversion tables on the back might be handy too, but then again I have a smartphone...

Great pocket ruler for crafting
Saw Scott Brown Carpentry on YouTube talking about this ruler, so I got it. Itโs small, well made, thin so there is less error when trying to measure or mark with it. Pick up feature is very handy.

so far i love this ruler. stiff easy to read, pick up feature is nice... only thing i worry about is... it seem to just be printed on outside of ruler... not laser etched.

If you can get it.
The 13131 is my favorite steel rule. However, the last three orders for it have delivered a different rule. Similar, but not the "Pick up" rule. Looks like a lot of the other rules were mislabled and sent by mistake.

Not what I expected
Nothing to say, it's a genuine Japanese Shinwa scale. Exceptional quality, but I got the regular version (14001) instead of the easy-to-read one (13131).

Uncluttered, easy-to-read markings
This ruler is great for precise, small measurements. While mm is standard for industrial and professional use, I prefer cm for my home projects.
