If you want to get your hands dirty fixing your car, you need a haynes manual.Most procedures are correctly illustrated and very detailed.I always complement this with internet guides and so far my car runs smooth.Done my first cambelt using this manual and internet info combined and all went perfect.5 stars

A good starting place however, I found it a little disappointing - not enough pictures, the step-by-step process feels short changed. If you are a mechanic, maybe it will be useful for wiring diagrams for a VW, but as a reference source for a DIYer its a bit of a let down. Pity, as I've had other Haynes manuals in the past which were very good by comparison. Another situation when the internet has beaten the printed word into a dis-appointing second place finish.

It is a British (European) edition. Doesn't seem that all the info is correct for US models. Pretty close though and the price was right. Also, sometimes I'm in need of a translation of automotive terms that differ from US. For example, US tie rod = English track control rod, etc.

Best book in quality but the wrong year ,my fault.
