Review: Even though it isn't the best Pokemon game, that doesn't mean at all that it's a bad game. - Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are amazing games, like all main-series Pokemon games. In fact, Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are the two games I spent the most time playing on my Nintendo 3DS; over 280 hours total! That just shows how much of a great game this is. STORY: As you start your journey, you get a Pokemon from this game's professor; Professor Birch gives you a Pokemon, and you go on your way. Eventually, you encounter Team Magma/Team Aqua and have to stop them from destroying the Hoenn Region. At the same time, you collect all 8 gym badges and eventually become the Hoenn Pokemon League Champion. Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire have almost the same exact story as the games they were remade form; Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire...until you get to the Delta Episode. The story is certainly more lighthearted than Pokemon Black and White or Black 2 and White 2, but it is a remake, and one that does not have such a dark story. GAMEPLAY: The most important part of all Pokemon games is the gameplay. That's a no-brainer. However, most, if not all Pokemon games have very consistent battle systems, with only new moves/types or certain moves being slightly altered. It's a good thing that it remains the same, actually, so that you don't have to get used to an all-new battle system. CONTENT: This game, unfortunately, doesn't have the largest amount of content. Once you beat the main game, you are treated to the Delta Episode, basically the part of Pokemon Emerald that wasn't the exact same as Ruby and Sapphire, which includes battling and capturing both Rayquaza and Deoxys! But after you do that, you catch a few more legendaries, and that's it. If you're up to it, you could complete the Pokedex, which takes a lot of time and patience due to there being more than 700 Pokemon to acquire for the Pokedex. REPLAYABILITY: This game has A TON of replayability. You have almost the whole arsenal of the whole entire region of Hoenn to create the team of your choice. But that's not all, after you beat the game, you can catch some of the Pokemon from other regions, without having to transfer them from the previous generation games, which is pretty cool, as only a few other Pokemon games did this. CONCLUSION: Overall, this game gets a 4.5 stars out of 5. This game is great fun, like any other main-series Pokemon gamer. You really can't go wrong with any game in the series, and this wouldn't be a bad choice!
Review: Less of a review, more of a story. - I found my original copy of Pokemon Ruby in a Publix parking lot on Christmas day. It was quite some time ago. I saw the little cartridge on the ground behind the tire of my mom's huge Ford E-150 transport van/ cavern on wheels. It had been run over, the translucent red plastic of the game had micro fractures in it, and I was surprised that the 7,000 pounds of van hadn't turned it to dust. Having just gotten my first DS (the silver one that was practically indestructible) I picked it up and slotted it in the GBA game slot on the bottom. I hit the power button on the DS, and to my astonishment, the game was recognized. Turns out it didn't only work, but the previous owner's save was still intact. They had used a game shark or something on that game, because I don't remember being able to catch Mew 30 times in Ruby. Anyway, I played around with their save for awhile, not wanting to erase all of their progress, but eventually I figured they would never see it again, might as well enjoy it myself. I made a new save, and just fell in love with it. I was accustomed to the graphics and mechanics of Pokemon Red, so playing Ruby was an amazing experience. What were these trees, with berries on them? I can run now?! Just amazing. I was inseparable from that game. It's not quite the same, this new Ruby, but that's not a bad thing. The graphics are again better, and there are new mechanics (Mega-evolution is pretty neat) but when I powered it up, I felt an entire wave of memories wash over me. I remembered my room, with a new console in it no doubt, but still the same old room. And the same old town, and that distinctive white hair. The controls are great, and being able to experience the story once again has made this purchase 100% worth it. Keep up the good work Nintendo.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Here's the real question, Ruby or Sapphire?**
A: sapphire has too much water.. Ruby for me

**Q: are they making an emerald for 3ds?**
A: And here we are with a crystal version 2018 😂😂 it's a money cow kinda thing. I see them remaking all the old versions into 3D but if they released the old ones too fast as remakes people would need time in between newer versions.

The same reason The FINAL Fantasy VII remake isn't released earlier. Because no version of Final Fantasy can beat VII. The next version of the game wouldn't be able to compete with the older popular ones.

So in conclusion, Yellow and emerald will get a 3D rework at some point just not when we have the SWITCH and moving into a new world of constantly changing platforms.

**Q: When will it arrive when If
order it**
A: Not always true. I just pre-ordered Smash Bros for 3DS and it didnt even ship until almost 2 weeks after the release date. :/

**Q: How much more "Omega" will this edition be? I'm expecting miracle like properties, not just a simple cash-in.**
A: This game is a lot more than just a remake.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You Can't Get Ludicolo In This One
*by M***L on February 4, 2020*

I bought Omega Ruby because I wanted to play the Hoenn remakes and my sister already claimed Alpha Sapphire. I was so excited to explore the region, and more importantly, to add a Ludicolo to my team. I saw Detective Pikachu when it came out, and it elevated Ludicolo from being one of those pokemon I constantly forget exists to one of my favorites. I decided I was going to raise a Ludicolo for my team and name him Gritty. Lo and behold, after I already bought the game I go to check Bulbapedia to see where I can catch a Lotad, only to find that Ludicolo is exclusive to Alpha Sapphire and that I'll have to settle for Seedot instead. (Which I did catch and named "NEEPLES", in anticipation for his evolution into Nuzleaf.) The game itself is fine. More than fine, in fact; I've been finding time in between my college classes to play this thing obsessively for over a week straight. The only thing in my life that matters right now is growing absurd amounts of virtual berries - whenever my avatar reaches into their bag, they come out with a handful of jam. (Note: this is comedic hyperbole and not an actual game feature, you will not be able to witness actual in-game jamhands.) The environments and settings are incredible, and as a Diamond and Pearl kid I'm happy to be able to have my very own secret base again. It's a fun little game and is extremely enjoyable, but just know before buying that if you want Ludicolo you should get Alpha Sapphire instead. 7.8/10, no Ludicolo.
