Not really necessary
I have the Kapex saw which I use daily and enjoy very much. I also have owned the MFT/Kapex stand and UG extensions (yes they work perfectly with the stand AND UG cart). While the bolts and knobs fasten the saw to the stand, I never used them. The saw's rubber feet sit in the holes on the stand it keep it positioned pretty well. I found the knobs in my tool box yesterday, and fortunately for me, the bolts were the perfect metric size to remove the rotors from my 08 Tundra Crewmax!

Expensive but they work
These are pretty darn basic and they work exactly as advertised. As with a lot of Festool stuff, they are insanely over priced.

Should be included with the MFT/3 table
after using the MFT/table for a year, I decided to go out and spend the $$ on these. Wish I'd done it sooner. If it does nothing else it makes moving the saw and table much safer.

Save $20 to DIY a solution; otherwise these work fine.
This clamping kit allows me to adequately secure my Kapex to my MFT/3. The Kapex's 20mm rubber feet fit perfectly into the MFT's 96mm grid system so the Kapex doesn't slide around by itself; these bolts just make sure the Kapex doesn't lift off the table surface while in use. The bolts fit right through 96mm grid holes and the knobs tighten against the bottom of the MFT table surface. Of course the MFT/3 rocks/racks back and forth in use because it's generally not stable, but that's for a different product review.These clamps can be used on a mounting surface that is anywhere from 0" to 1.375" thick. Lots of options. There is a surprising amount of space inside the knobs for clamping down the bolts to different material thicknesses.If I was using a cart for the Kapex where it would be stored/transported hanging on it's side, I would want more than these two bolts keeping the Kapex secured. In that case I would use the extra set of 4 holes next to the rubber feet on the Kapex to properly mount it.My bolts were fully threaded, unlike the stock pictures for this product.I feel sorry for anyone that pays full price. I only paid $11.34 for this item in Used condition and I feel somewhat ripped off. Get any 0.5" hex head bolt & nut set with a fender washer and you'll save yourself $20. I would not have bought this at full price.It would have been preferred to receive these included with my Kapex purchase, but this accessory represents another $22 Festool will take from most users. That's a knock on the Kapex product, not this particular item.I like this product for the Festool knobs only. They allow you to quickly unscrew the bolts if you're detaching your Kapex often... but still not as quick as a cordless drill/driver would if you decide to take the standard bolt route, which I recommend!
