Thank you.** A: We recommend 1/4" diameter deck screws in whatever length best suits your mounting needs. 2 inch screws will work in anything 3/4 inch thickness and above. Please always feel free to call us with questions 208-704-0291 **Q: Can these be painted?** A: We don't recommend painting the holds. **Q: How big is the opening of the mounting holes?** A: 1/4 or 3/8 **Q: Are these a smooth plastic or a more grippy material?** A: They are more grippy. Think much better quality holds than your standard rock climbing center colored grips that are plastic. The material feels much more like rock than anything I've tried before. Your hands don't slip like plastic. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/89484107-25-large-screw-on-rock-climbing-holds-for-rock-wall](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/89484107-25-large-screw-on-rock-climbing-holds-for-rock-wall) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
