Northern Lights Submersible SUP & Kayak LED Light System

Works great! One of the lights seems to have a mind of it's own and not work, than if you tap it , it does? I noticed the silver on the inside has rubbed off after just one use? I don't know if that has anything to do with it the seller is very accommodating howeverOMGOSH!! I LOVE you Erik! what a GREAT Company! This product is complete junk! Followed directions completely and the first time I use it on my board one fell off in water.. gone! The other worked but you can’t even see the color in the water under my board!!! Been waiting for a response from company and nothing! I want a refund!!!

The lights work as promised except for the following: the remote do not work while lights are underwater because the remote has to be within one foot (30 cm) of the light units. Fix: lift SUP out of water and use remote in direct line of site of light. The Velcro mounting adhesive will not hold for very long and when they fail, the unit pops off. Fix: tie two double fisherman’s knots, one around each life jacket installed on lights and then tie around board with trucker hitch knot. Maybe use a secondary Marine PVC compatible adhesive to attach to surface of board. All in all, I love the lights. I’m a little more adventurous than most so I probably would have needed to do this anyway. I pboard in the surf and the sets create a lot of drag on the units. The fix for attaching that I outlined works for me and the way I use them. I would definitely recommend purchasing the lights because when pboarding at night, they really do light up the water with some very beautiful colors. Hope this helps.

I wish they were a bit brighter, but it's only 4.5 volt AAA. I'll probably rig up a 12v system with strip lighting later.The adhesive easy removes with Goo Gone or similar.

I ordered these lights for my boyfriend's birthday because of all the great reviews they've got here. The parcel miraculously arrived on an exact day I needed with a sweet birthday note for my bf and a cool t-shirt for me.The velcro pads stick really well to an inflatable SUP (of course, after cleaning and degreasing it), and after 24 hours we finally went to try them in the sea. With so many different colors and modes and some music we played from a phone the board turned into a disco SUP. The lights were really bright even in the muddy waters of Hong Kong. We even attracted a little silly shrimp!Fantastic customer service, great quality, easy installation and tons of fun. Highly recommended!P.S. Would have been really nice if the remote control had some waterproof case and some floating thingie. Drinking beer and SUPing makes it really easy to drop in the water.

I've yet to find natural water clear enough to see these _at all_. They seem well made enough but pretty useless unless you're sticking to alpine lakes

These come with two remotes per set! So if you order 4 lights that's 4 remotes. Not something you want to mess with while you are paddling. Cheaply made and confusing. I would recommend spending the extra money and getting the ones that actually strap on the full board on both sides. This is just a cheap way.

So installation is pretty straightforward and easy as long as you follow the instructions, however that said placement is critical to get optimal performance with the lights , I had to adjust the bigger lights in front twice therefore using up all the Velcro pads that were included with the kit.I reached out to them about getting a couple more sets of mounting Velcro and 2 more lights (which basically meant I had to buy an extra kit) however I didn't mind cause I wanted a couple for spares anyways.Eric from pohopaddle.com not only immediately sent out the extra lights but also a bunch of extra Velcro pads for the bigger lights free of charge 👍 great company and great responsiveness as a smaller company that I didn't really expect and obviously a great product 👍👍Will definitely recommend and will do buisness with again in the future!
