Works great

I had one of these phone carriers for 2 1/2 years before deciding to replace it. During that time, it was on my hip every day for about 12 hours. I clumsily banged it into things and snagged it on chair arms on a regular basis and made a couple of repairs when part of the strap pulled free from the metal clip. This is not a complaint, because I feel that I seriously abused it. Finally, the clip bent outwards and wouldn't stay on my belt very well. I tried to force it back into shape, but couldn't do a good job, so I decided to buy a replacement.I'm very glad that the same product was still available. It's very well designed, offering a lot of options for carrying it in different ways. My Moto E4 plus fits snugly, but is still easy to remove when needed. It gradually loosened a tiny bit- not enough to be a problem. The phone never once fell out of the case.

Like the fact that you can hook onto your belt via the metal clasp - and it stays put. Plus you can use the two belt loops to pass your belt thru for either horizontal or vertical carrying of your phone.It appears to be very sturdy in construction and the metal hook is double riveted. They were not stingy with the Velcro on the flap that covers the phone either.Very pleased with this and my Moto G4 phone fits perfectly. Slides in and out without any problems.

Well-made. Fits the Moto G4+ that has the typical silicone-back smartphone protector (this case has elasticized sides) and I have no idea what earlier reviews were referring to when they said the clip for the carabiner was only held on by a thread, mine is attached quite well via a flap that sure seems to me to be well-sewn on. I did pick up a little better quality carabiner to use instead of the one that came on it, but that was personal choice. The important thing about the case is that it's well made, easy in/out access, keeps the smartphone secure inside and can be removed without taking off a belt or even having to wear one. I clip it to a belt loop but it could also be clipped anywhere which is a huge convenience. This case had everything I wanted. If you held a gun to my head to force some criticism I'd say the Velcro closure might be a tad stronger/bigger patch than necessary, but that's an easy fix and certainly better to have a teense of overkill than not enough.

Pros: Great Product! It is well made with nice fit and finish. The belt loops are very sturdy and there are loops in both horizontal and vertical. The phone with a basic thin style case fits perfectly without slop and without being too crammed either.Cons: The metal belt clip is for vertical only, and it slips off too easy. It is strong and well fastened to the pouch, but the end that clips over the belt needs a hook that grabs the belt. That is my only complaint of this pouch. The carabiner is uselessly weak so plan on buying a good one if you plan on using it that way... If you don't mind threading your belt through the loop it is a very good product!

i wanted to get a holster for the moto g but wasn't sure which so i ordered this and one other. even though the other is leather and looks nice i have to admit liking this one a bit more. i have had one very similar, same material for my old phone and really liked it. never once did i lose my phone, have it drop, it was just an excellent all around case as is this one. it fits the moto g very well and as i found out with my spouse's phone it will also do for the moto x. it has two means to attach to your person. the large black vertical clip and what i use most the carabiner clip. the top flap is held firm with heavy duty velcro. this is the holster i use most often and for good reasons. a solid choice, well made and imho a great price.

For the price it provides good protection and it's not a bad way to carry a phone under some circumstances. The metal belt clip is actually kind of useless - it doesn't hold onto a belt or pants for anything. If you sit down chances are the thing will just pop right off your belt. As others have said the carabiner is held on by a flimsy thread and I wouldn't trust it at all, What what I use it for this works pretty well, especially since my phone fits inside snugly with the Spigen Rugged Armor case on it. If you want security you would have to slide your belt through the loop underneath the clip and you can position it either vertically or horizontally. Once it's in place the orientation can't be changed without removing the belt but it does hold securely.

Belt clip pops off belt if you move while sitting in chair or sofa. Carabiner saved it from hitting floor.
