what are the measurements? what's listed is "12.1 x 12.1 x 2.6 inches" which would make it a large flat box

I just took mine out to measure it...It's exactly 11" in length, 3" deep (front to back), and 1 3/4" high.  Hope that helps. :)

Does this case fit the iX100 scansnap?

It actually does. It's a tight fit, but it's perfectly compatible with the iX100.

will this case hold the s1100 deluxe?

I'm not familiar with the S1100 deluxe model, but I can tell you that when I put the S1100 and its USB cord in the case, it is a very snug fit.  If the deluxe has any additional hardware, I would guess that it would not be large enough.  I have to fold the cord a certain way just to get it to fit inside the case now.  It's a great case - very sturdy - but no spare room.

Thanks for the opportunity to be of service. The case is constructed out of a VERY sturdy plastic material and covered with a easily cleaned with a damp cloth material that is just right for the brief case carrying to which it is subjected. With a Velcro closing system, it is ready for travel in a flash. I am very pleased with the case and equally as well pleased with the Fjitsu ScanSnap S1100.. For its size is does a remarable job of getting  files into my Evernote application (my primary use). It's footprint is very small and stays right on my desk, under the front of my monitor. I felt the price point for the case was a little high, but its performance in the field eliminated that concern.
