- Sichuan hand selected maple and spruce tonewoods. Inlaid purfling, and imported ebony fingerboard, pegs, tailpiece, nut and saddle. Hand applied varnish. Beautifully polished finish. Each violin is handmade by trained artisans and overseen by luthiers to ensure that each instrument can achieve the best sound possible.
- Includes: Brazilwood bow, octagon stick, with genuine horsehair, imitation whalebone grip, half-lined ebony copper-nickel alloy frog with eye.
- Includes a quality FOM shoulder rest that is constructed with a wooden frame, soft foam support, thick rubber feet covers (extra pair included), and quality brass fittings. A velvet bag is included to protect the shoulder rest in storage.
- This setup also includes a quality student violin case which combines an attractive oblong durable lightweight plywood case construction with black bonded quality velvet interior. The case includes exterior music pocket, shoulder straps, and is covered with a durable black nylon canvas zippered cover. The interior includes an attractive padded space to hold the violin, a slot for the shoulder rest, and a large covered pocket for accessories.
Our entry level beginner quality handmade violin: We use Sichuan hand selected maple and spruce tonewoods (the best quality available in China) which have been dried and aged for at least three years, inlaid purfling, and ebony fingerboard, chin rest, pegs, tailpiece, nut and saddle. Our ebony is imported from India and Burma. Varnish: hand applied varnish using traditional Italian recipes, including a mixture of a variety of herbs. This mixture is treated with heat for 24 hours and then filtered several times. The resulting varnish is then hand applied to the violin with more than 30 coats to produce a violin with beautifully polished finish and a bright warm sound. Each violin is handmade by trained artisans and overseen by luthiers to ensure that each instrument can achieve the best sound possible.
