I purchased this camera oddly enough to replace another 650tvl camera that was stolen. So far it has held up to the elements great and the picture quality has not changed since I first installed it just over a month ago.PROS:Inexpensive.Solid housing, not cheap plastic.Slightly better picture quality than standard 420tvl or 480tvl cameras.Switches to night vision automatically at the right time.Colors are sharp and accurate.Cons:Instruction manual is inadequate. I had to look up instructions for other similar cameras to figure out how to install it. Here's a tip, there are a few good videos on youtube.The night vision is not that great. It is however, about the same as any of these inexpensive cameras. I'd say if you do not have any outside lighting the night vision only works about 10 feet out and you can not see much detail.The 700tvl is not a whole lot better than 480tvl, so do not expect a huge difference in picture quality. Actually I think the 650tvl camera I had previously had a slightly better picture to it, but it was a much more expensive camera.Final Thoughts: For the price it's a nice camera. It looks professional, and works as advertised. I think it works well for indoor and well lit areas. I do not think this camera is entirely vandal proof, but I think it will be slightly harder for vandals to damage or steal than the standard bullet style cameras.

This is probably not what a professional would buy, therefore, the meager information page included should tell how to get it ready to install. I was looking for a company website to find instruction on how to open it for access for mounting. Finally decided to turn the first ring outside the mounting bracket VERY hard, and that did it. That could easily be illustrated on the Taiwan-produced information page, but it wasn't. Now to see how it works compared to my 960 Swann cameras in my 960 Swann system.About time for me to finish this. It is far far better than the Swann cameras of the same rating. Images from it enabled the police to know who a car prowler was.

Oh, this was an awesome purchase!The camera's a great value.It came neatly packaged. It had one of those box types with the four wooden panels opening up, so it was very snuggly and held together very well. It's a pretty good design. I'm familiar with it, so I was able to easily unscrew and adjust the camera to my liking.After adjusting and setting it in place, it's a very straightforward installation. For the moment, I have mine outside. It's a lot warmer these days, but there were quite a few heavy showers a couple weeks ago. The camera did a great job, recorded through everything no matter the weather conditions.Design itself is very straightforward. Plain color, and is made with solid metal material. It fits well with my home thanks to the light color. It should do just as well with many other home designs. The small size also gives a lot of options over where it could be installed.
