We do all we can to keep little hands and fingers safe. These definitely do the trick! They are visually pleasing - nice bold and bright colors in a sturdy plastic that is easy to clean. Material is sturdy enough that it wont slip out of little hands. Again, we try and buy things for him and his sensory issues. So, the colors of these were a big hit. They are not too heavy, not too light. Definitely lighter than your conventional knife set. They are sharp enough to cut, slice and chop while somehow not being sharp enough to pierce skin. We have used these multiple times without issue. I feel for the price, they are definitely worth it. Definitely feel they can hold their own against conventional knives. Truth be told, we use these for the most part now.
