So we went for a solid metal one. It feels very solid indeed. I don't think this one will break. The lever you press to start the water flow has sharp corners that I wish were more rounded. My hand would hurt right where the edge dug in after I did a load of dishes. I wrapped it in electrical tape and that solved it, but the design could be better for that reason.
