Quick Cure 5 is the standard quick setting "five minute epoxy" system. Mix at a 1:1 by volume ratio. Quick Cure is ideal for all small jobs requiring a strong bond and rapid cure. Quick Cure is highly water resistant but not waterproof. Quick Cure is quite thick, but is easily measured by squeezing equal sized lumps from the convenient application bottles. Use Quick Cure for installing bungs, repairing missed staple holes prior to fiber glassing, "tack welding" wood, and for those other glue jobs, which require a fast cure. Do not use below the water line unless protected by an over coating like Silver Tip Laminating Resin, STR General Purpose Epoxy, Clear Coat, etc.

## Features

- A two-component, solvent-free, epoxy/polymercaptan adhesive system
- Ideal for all small jobs requiring a strong bond and rapid cure
- An excellent gap filling adhesive
- Highly water resistant but not waterproof, cures at lower temperatures
- Available in cartridges that dispense with a conventional caulking gun

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Used to fill knots in hardwood floors
*by P***E on May 10, 2016*

I ordered this kit to fill knot holes in my hardwood floors that we recently laid. This works great for accomplishing that. Before installing the hardwoods (we bought Grade #3 red oak hardwoods - known as the rustic or cabin-grade wood), I applied some duck tape on the backside of the hole to keep the resin from running down and out of the hole. It acted as a plug, if you will, to pour the liquid down in the hole. The product does work very fast. I found that if I prepared before I mixed a batch, it worked much better. I would tape up around the hole I was going to fill and then I would mix up a small batch in small plastic dixie cups. This way, when I was done with that batch, I simply threw away the cup. I mixed coffee grounds with the resin after I had mixed both parts and it dyed the resin a dark brown/espresso color that blended nicely with my floors. After letting the resin sit for approximately an hour, I used my hand sander to smooth out the patch. It worked so good, it is hard to tell the patches from the real knots.I have attached some photos of my finished floor. I thought I had some pictures of the process of applying the epoxy. If I find those pictures, I will update this post with the pictures.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ They both work great but have their quirks
*by A***Y on November 21, 2014*

I am a weekend warrior woodworker and work exclusively with rough sawn hardwoods the inevitably have faults and flaws that need to be filled. I i have worked with system 3 and t-88.. They both work great but have their quirks. System three mixes great and applies relatively easy. I heat the bottles up in warm water to increase the viscosity ( I live in michigan and in the winter I cant get my shop above 65 degrees ) which really helps the flow but be forewarned this really excites the setup time to about half. The T-88 is also a great product but is gummy in its application. It almost pulls away from itself when applied but the working time is longer and the end result is acceptable. Either product does the job but I go to system three as my first choice but work in really small batches when I apply. I sand down to 320 to get out the scratches from sanding and do that has a wet application. I have also mixed the system 3 with black aluminous oxide to add depth and volume to fill really large gaps and the results are exceptional and strong. You won't be disappointed with either product but they require practice!!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Would like to name my first-born child System Three!
*by I***E on August 27, 2012*

Everything goes better with epoxy! I am an epoxy fiend. Most people don't grasp the futility of using other types of adhesives for many projects. Superglue, for instance, has a very narrow range of things that it is actually good for but that is the first thing that many people think of when they need to glue something. If you need to make a permanent repair, use epoxy. The problem with epoxy has been that it mostly comes in small, twin tube dispensers making any sizable repair both expensive and a pain in the rear to try to mix up a big enough batch of quick setting epoxy using multiple tubes. That's where this stuff comes in. 1/2 pint doesn't sound like much but believe me, for the ordinary user this is enough to last for years! It is so nice to be able to mix exactly what you need with no fear of running just shy of the amount you need when the small, twin tubes run out. And System Three is great stuff too. I use it constantly. Would highly recommend this stuff...I plan to never be without it.Epoxy usage tip:If you need to beef up an epoxy repair, get some of that fiberglass mesh tape that drywaller's use to tape drywall seams with and embed it into the epoxy. This has the same effect as using rebar in concrete.
