My wife has tried the items in this set and all came out "smelling like a rose" (pardon the pun!!). Seriously, the items were high quality, and she loved the scent, they left her skin smooth, and gave her an all-around great experience. She says "would make a great Mother's Day, birthday, or holiday gift!!"

This review is for the Rose & Peach scented set. I’ve had some bad luck with ordering this item. Desperately in need of some pampering while on a long road trip and having to stay in some cheaper hotels, I ordered the first one of these to be delivered same day. It did not arrive. In fact it wasn’t even shipped until 5 days later on the day before I was due to leave on my trip, despite contacting customer service and them promising me to ship a replacement for delivery the same day. Then the package was marked as lost, so I did not receive it in time for my trip. I was due to be refunded for the lost item, so I went ahead and ordered another one that I hoped would arrive in time for my next trip. Unfortunately it was shipped in just a plastic bag, with no protection and arrived with a huge caved-in dent in the tin lid - the photos are AFTER I tried to smooth the dent out as I didn’t have time before my second trip to return it and order a third one. It wasn’t meant for a gift for someone else, so although I was disappointed that the tin was damaged and that I wouldn’t be able to re-use it for storage as planned, it would just have to do. The contents smelled wonderful on opening the tin, and nothing inside was leaking or damaged. I first tried the soap, it has an OK scent, the bar itself smells good, but not much of a scent in use. I then tried the shower gel. Now, I’ve been an aromatherapist for over 30 years, so my sense of smell and fragrance blending is quite fine-tuned, and Rose is one of those hit or miss scents that is really hard to get right…some rose scented items can be really sickly sweet, powdery and artificial smelling, many can be too lightly fragranced or musty. The shower gel was absolutely lovely, I couldn’t detect any peach, but the touch of patchouli in it gave it an exotic depth, almost like a lotus had been added. It was highly fragranced and just beautiful. Unfortunately the body lotion was a completely different scent altogether. Now I know that fragrances react with body chemistry and can smell different on different skin types, but the body lotion smelled terrible straight out the bottle. It had a really sour smell to it that - sorry to say this - reminded me of overtones of a urine-soaked back alley in a bad part of town. It was truly awful, and I can’t understand why the lotion smelled so different to the shower gel. Fortunately, with the essential oils at my disposal I was able to sweeten it up with some vanilla, rose absolute and a touch of violet fragrance oil to improve on it to the point that I can bear to use it and not smell like a back alley. I may have just got a bad batch, I don’t know. The hand cream smelled like the soap, not as good as the shower gel, but pleasant enough. My advice would be to buy the shower gel separately and not bother with the lotion. There are also nicer rose scented bar soaps and hand creams out there. I would definitely purchase the shower gel again, but not the rest of the set. As I sit here typing this I am still getting the odd whiff of back-alley insulting my nose and I’m glad I don’t have to go out anywhere today. I also ordered the Orange Blossom set to be delivered to my Mums house in the UK ready for when I get there, and I am hoping that the fragrance of that set is more consistent between products.

All products in this gift set smell amazing! Very nicely packaged.. perfect for a gift!

I bought this gift set as a Mother’s Day present. The tin is beautiful and well-designed; the lid is actually pointed like the roof of a carousel, which I didn’t notice when I ordered it.The contents are a decent size, not too small, and look lovely and top quality.It was all packaged really well in a sturdy box and there was even pink tissue paper on top of the tin lid to stop it getting dented in transit.
