There are surely bigger heads than mine out there, but with a circumference of 23.75 inches, mine can rightly be called large. With the hat's size-adjusting cord fully open and hanging loose, this hat fit my head (a minor miracle). I don't think I could get my little finger between my head and the hatband. But it is not uncomfortably snug, it is unbelieveably a perfect fit. I have ridden my bike about 800 miles wearing it, and the width and firmness of the brim are perfect. Part of the "cap" is mesh, and the other part is strong, but very light material, so the hat is very comfortable to wear (I have ridden in this hat when the heat index was 102 degrees--yes, it got a sweat ring, but it did not bake my head like my helmet). My wife says she likes the way I look wearing the hat (and we have been married so long that she does not often make remarks like that, so this must surely be one great hat!).

I’ve been wearing this mainly for working in the garden and outdoor household chores. This hat is lightweight and comfortable and I’m really appreciating that it can be adjusted to fit - especially on windy days. It’s still early days in the season for full-on summer sun an heat conditions but I’m thinking this will work out well. I haven’t needed to crush it for storage but it’s very flexible yet sturdy so I’m sure it’ll hold up. I recommend.

I do like this hat. The best outdoor summer hat I’ve ever owned.The hat is almost exactly what I want in a summer hat. Wide brim to protect from the sun, mesh on the crown for airflow, drawstring for perfect fit and weather proof. The only reason I use the word “almost” is because the mesh could conduct air a little better (Though a thinner mesh would make for a less sturdy hat). This hat doesn’t have a neck drape cloth but the wide brim would make it almost redundant and less comfortable.On those 95 plus degree sunny days I wet the band and crown with cold water (along with my shirt shoulders and upper back). Keeps my cooler for the first mile of walking that way. From there on the hat is on it’s own and does a great job of covering my head, neck and part of my shoulders and the mesh lets hot air out.When this one wears out I will buy the exact same hat if they still make them by that point since I expect to get eight to ten years of wear out of it. It is well made.

I wear this in the intense NC down east sun. Does a great job of protecting my head and neck. I assumed that I would sweat as much or more due to the hat keeping the heat in but I was wrong; between the mesh ventilation and blocking the sun, I definitely stay cooler and sweat less. Hat is well made, fits well and comfortable.

I really like this hat. I like the stuff brim as it provides good shade and the width is good. Not too much or too little. It is very lightweightAnd comfortable to wear all day. I have a small head and this hat was able to adjust for fit with some to spare. It’s hot where I live so the cross ventilation is super. I got the grey one and it’s a nice light true grey. I have no complaints.Update: still love the hat though I wish the sweatband was the standard size. This is half the width.

First, be aware that the dark grey hat is DARK grey, not a medium grey in the image. It's nearly black. That said, it's comfortable and you can adjust the size with a drawstring around the band. The brim seems a bit wider than some sun hats, but not so wide as to be annoying. The brim is fairly stiff, so it should hold shape well. A feature I like is that there is a sewn-in seam bisecting the hat brim (from ear to ear). This enables you to neatly fold the hat in half for stowing. All in all, I like it.

There are six feet of me, and my head is larger than average. The hat was snug when I first tried it on. It loosened a little after I wore it twice. I washed it, and then it was just too tight to wear comfortably. The band leaves red marks on my forehead, and I actually get a slight headache when I try to wear it. I think I’m past the return window.

I'm wearing it mostly for gardening and the beach. It keeps the sun off well, good ventilation and the brim is stiff enough to hold up reasonably in the wind.

I love this hat BUT... it doesn't fit my head. Hopefully this seller offers other options other than XS (what the tag shows). Right now my child is using it.

Great hat.. light weight but arrived very wrinkled .

This hat is so small that it's comfortable on my 5-year-old's head. I can't even attempt to wear it because the dome barely even covers my bald spot lol
