This light is actually somewhere around 940nm
I threw a 980nm bandpass filter on this and it throws a ton of light compared to my 840nm illuminator. Works well with my nvg30. I 3d printed a little adapter to center the filter that I bought and it works amazingly well. Also great that this thing takes 18650s.

Works with Sionyx Aurora
This is a very light weight and small ir light. It works great with the Sionyx Aurora for indoor use. I have not tried it outdoors or with a firearm yet. It does show a red glow so if you’re looking for stealth and tactical use this is not what you want. Someone will easily see the red glow. Overall it’s a solid little light. It’s has an adjustable beam as well. Pick up some batteries and a charger as this does not come with them.

Quality at a good price
Bought this for my NVG30. For the price, it is awesome. Very bright. With the unaided eye, you can see just a VERY SMALL red glow if you hold it up to your eye and look directly into it. Otherwise it is totally invisible.Quality seems really good.

Disappointed, mostly my fault
Just received. One, I assumed batteries were included. Two, if I needed batteries I never expected I’d have to buy ‘special’ batteries. And three - after you buy batteries, I have no idea how they are installed? Why no instructions??Review # 2: I did go back and read their ad. It does state no batteries included, my bad. They say I need battery 1860. I found them for sale. Pricey and only come in rechargeable former. Still disappointed no manual or instructions

A very good product for a very low price
I tested this IR flashlight out in a dark room using night vision goggles. It works very well and it is very strong. It is very low priced, considering what you get for your money.

Works fine
Simple design, and simply works. I accidentally dropped it on ground and I can barely see any mark of that. I love the design of the visible red dot on the light so that I can tell if it is on or not. This design can prevent from battery waste. This is a infrared light which is not visible. I used my night vision goggle with it and it works pretty good, light up the area well. It worth the price, will update on battery life.

Excellent indoor light FOR THE MONEY
For under $20, you really can't complain about this light for indoor use for just playing around and testing a NV optic. It isn't going to be great outdoors and doesn't have much range. It isn't a Surefire or a Streamlight, so don't expect it to endure any rough use. It's exactly what I would expect for a flashlight that costs less than $20. You can also see the LED glowing red with your naked eye, so it probably has a pretty wide spectrum of light. 940nm is likely just the nominal wavelength.

Not what I was hoping for
Its a neat party trick to have a "flashlight" that no one can see with their naked eye but through your phone camera see perfectly. I was hoping to use this to film in the dark but the IR light was never strong enough to go more than a few feet. I used a few different power sources but never got to what was advertised. Its still a cool toy but never will work to the capability of being able to take pictures in the dark of a room or outside
