If fresh mushrooms were readily available, we would not resort to canned. But in these times, having canned vegetables in the pantry is convenient. These are the best canned mushrooms we have had - but I carefully rinse them before use to reduce the sodium content which, before rinsing, is quite high. Then I use them as topping for pizza - add them around 3 minutes before the pizza is finished. They also make a nice sauce with broth for steak.
