Directions weren’t great, but the product is well made and looks good. Perfect height for our small dog.

We got this to put in front of our shoe bench, since our puppy treats it as her snack buffet when we’re not looking. So far it has worked well. She hasn’t tried to jump it or move it, and we’ve lost no more shoes to her snack tendencies. I’ve also used this in front of a larger door opening to our living room to prevent her from going in there when we’re not there and again - works very well. It seems really sturdy, and wasn’t difficult to put together. I’d recommend.

This gate is very sturdy and looks nicer than I expected.

UPDATE: Puppy has now grown to 12lbs, still holding strong. He still hasn't been able to topple it over. Chewed on it but on the other side it still looks good.Original Review: We just got this yesterday. Very beautiful and functions well. We got a 10 week old, 4lb shih tzu pup and we keep him in the kitchen away from the carpet until he is potty trained. He isn't able to make it budge and it is low enough for us to step over it.I was worried that no instructions were included but it was there. The gate was easy to put together. Didn't really need it to assemble, I just remembered what it look like. BUT to lock it in place, I did it wrong. I put the black knobs of the screws in the front, because common sense told me it looked more aesthetically pleasing to cover the holes in the front (as shown in my picture). Doing it this way, it looks great but the gate comes apart! Following the instructions, I moved the black knobs to the back and VOILA! It locked and didn't come apart. But I'm not happy with the holes in the front. Why put holes in the front, they could have stopped drilling 3/4 of the way from the back side to avoid holes in the front side! Still it is beautiful and functional.

Our dog is a verified escape artist and this is the first gate of many that he was unable to manipulate to make a successful escape. This gate also keeps our walls looking great at it doesn’t require any anchoring to a nearby wall. Definitely the best adjustable gate on Amazon at a very competitive price for the craftsmanship. Took me less than ten minutes to setup and I hate putting things together assembly for this product was no trouble at all aside from having to do it on your own because instructions where limited but honestly not needed at all very self explanatory assembly.

This gate works overall, but with some grievances. It seems as if the extra legs make it extremely study, but it can be tipped over pretty easily. Our toddler is able to move it with no problems at all. With enough pressure a dog would move it easily too. The adjustability was nice but I wish the holes were a little closer and it could be adjusted to half inch increments for tighter spaces. The instructions were not the best but got the job done.
