Even DeWalt doesn't specify. But the blade holds up well. I'm a contractor. The knife is a bit heavy for it's job, but it takes a good beating and sharpens well. You should know that opening the knife has two steps. There's a lock on the spring.

The picture is wrong. It is a fixed blade knife not an utility knife.

My knife wont close. How do you close it?

There is a metal tab blocking the knife from folding (A SAFETY FEATURE). Press it away from the center to release the blade for folding.
