My trusty old Nexus 7 died in November after 6 years of good service and I was left wondering what I could replace it with ... my main uses for a tablet are watching TV / movies on planes when on work trips or using it with OSMAnd as a GPS when driving. I struggled to find something comparable then came across the Fusion5. This one is a 10.1" tablet and bigger than the old Nexus - and doesn't have as good screen resolution - but at £89 its fantastic value. I've had this tab for a month and have waited to see how I get on with it before reviewing. Very easy to set things up. For my main use - watching movies it is great - it also has a micro (?) HDMI output so, I can plug it into my main TV screen (with small adaptor - £1.90 from ebay)) and watch on that too - yes, it isn't 4K but it is more than acceptable so I love it. I can play BBC things downloaded from BBC iPlayer and my own videos. Much better general performance than my old Nexus 7 so good for email, Facebook, browsing too and it can take microSD cards so I can take a card from my GoPro and watch the vid on this one easily. My only gripe is that on my first car trip I couldn't use it as my GPS as it doesn't seem to be able to get its own location - relies on shared Bluetooth location from phone (?). I assume I will be able to set it up to take the location from my phone but haven't got round to it yet (will update review if I succeed or fail). The sound isn't great from the device - but its grand through headphones or a soundbar. I haven't tried the cameras out yet. All in all, I rate this as a great bit of kit and I'd recommend it if you are after a good value general purpose tablet.

I bought this precise tablet after comparing a handful of similar ones. I bought this particular tablet as it will only be used for my cars obd2 app. and browsing. This meant that this tablet was more than adequate for the job. The box it came in looked rather nice and gave a good impression. When I held the tablet for the first time the weight was quite light but the screen felt cheap and a tad flimsy. I rectified this by buying a tempered glass screen protector which resolved the cheap feel. The back is made of a rubbery plastic which wasn't premium but satisfactory. It attracts finger prints easily. The actual android system is as easy to use as moat most android phones or tablets. It's very fast and the touchscreen is responsive and I am very happy with it. In this budget price bracket it is in my opinion a very good choice of a tablet with decent looking screen resolution. If it was to be my main tablet then I would need to choose one with more RAM, storage and resolution.

I bought this for my husband for travelling on a holiday recently. After reading many reviews on many projects I decided to purchase this one. I am so glad I did, the quality is really really good. The colours displayed come across as true and lively With good strong imaging and no shadows or grey spots or any areas of doubt the picture quality is excellent. The sound quality is really good although as others have said it is better through headphones yeah really clear and the volume adjustment is exactly as it should be. I am an Apple person and I do not normally buy products that are not Apple or other substantial quality yeah I am really surprised at the quality of this product not only the picture quality & sound, but the overall tablet itself. The use of the tablet itself is easy to use the swipe action is exactly as you would find on any smart phone or as a tablet and it is really easy to operate for anybody who may be technically challenged. The actual tablet itself is quite robust and appears to be very well-made with no flaws that are visible that I could tell. It’s lightweight portable and very handy to have in your bag. Prior to leaving the country I downloaded the Netflix app as this was the primary reason for my husband wanting the tablet in the first place to take on holiday. I downloaded most of what he wanted to watch whilst on the flight ontoAnd also out of the country. I’m happy to say that I had a number of downloads on the go at any given time and all downloaded all we downloaded successfully. The ability to download it’s really easy, I downloaded a lot of apps including Google mail Netflix outlook amongst others. All of the apps worked perfectly especially Netflix. This tablet charges quite quickly and well and did hold its charge for quite some time considering it was used for the duration of a six hour flight and also later that evening. Anyone who has access to to an electrical socket will have no problem whatsoever charging this tablet should it require a simple charge up. I did take a portable bank charger away with me just in case but we did not need to use it but that would be handy in airport situations if you are delayed and have no access to sockets around the airport So that is something to consider if you’re thinking of taking this on holiday the charging banks are quite reasonably priced especially on Amazon. I did a lot of research because there are so many tablets on the market and so many different prices that it’s really difficult to tell which one is going to be a tough and which one is going to be the real I am. All in all I am really pleased with this product I can 100% recommend it to anyone looking who happens to be on a budget as I genuinely doubt you will find a more compatible product anywhere else for this kind of money. I am a convert and I am not easily impressed. My husband is really pleased with this tablet.

I think this tablet (F104Bv2) is amazing value for money. If you've read this far, you are obviously not here as a tech geek, immersive gamer or dedicated follower of fashion. I guess you are either new to tablets or you have decided on a specification and wonder whether this product is of sufficient quality. While nothing stands out, it is a solid seemingly robust product, about as small as it can reasonably get, reasonably lightweight, with a clear screen, OK sound and OK battery life. It also comes (at the time of writing) with Android 8.1, so should be usable for a couple of years before planned obsolescence kicks in. Bear in mind that other similar sized tablets cost from four to eight times as much, without a commensurately noticeable improvement in quality. I bought this as a replacement for a tablet I have had for five years, which sadly has progressively developed a few faults over the last two years. I use a tablet for reading e-books, general Internet browsing, playing a few puzzle games and, when travelling, watching a few videos and checking photographs taken on my Android phone. Although my eyesight is pretty good for my age, I still prefer a larger screen, which also helps with my clumsy finger movements. The 10.1 inch screen of this model suits me significantly better than even the 9.6 inch screen that some manufacturers claim to be 10 inches. Even though the screen is large for a tablet, the pixel count of 1280 by 800 is more than adequate. To put this in perspective, even cinema projectors have a width of only 4096 pixels. My eyesight is not good enough to distinguish higher resolutions like, say, 1920 by 1080 on a 10 inch screen. Is 16GB good enough? For me yes. There is about 11GB of available space. This seems plenty for a lot of apps and some ebooks. If I wanted to store a library of music and video I would need a microSD card, but they are fairly cheap these days. In summary, I am very happy with this.

I had an Amazon fire 10hd which I thought was wonderful. Unfortunately it had an "accident" which caused it's demise. I researched other tablets & was ready to order another fire, but one of my issues was that it would not connect to my wireless printer no matter how hard I tried plus a couple of other niggles but I liked it & it was easy to set up. I did however find that £149 was going to push my budget. So after about a week of comparing, asking questions & to be honest anguish I held my breath & ordered my fusion5. I have never looked back. I am not techie so I was worried about setting it up, it took me minutes which included pairing it with my printer, another mere 10 minutes to download the apps I use plus word & Adobe which I didn't even know i could get on a tablet. Even my kindle books, which I thought I had lost came on with the app. Everything was extremely easy. I don't play games or watch movies on my tablet but I do use it everyday, my laptop now rarely gets a workout. You know, one of my concerns was the price of the Fusion5. I didn't think it would be up to much as it seemed a lot less expensive (I shall not insult it's excellence with the word cheap) than its counterparts. How wrong was I, it is an amazing tablet so much better than its price & so easy to use. I bought my fusion5 plus case for far less than I expected & have never been happier. Please don't do what I did & spend a week deliberating, wasting valuable time, order it & enjoy.

I bought 3 of this tablets for my kids 8 of June 2019 and today is 6 of March 2020. First I had difficulty to fine the covers and all of them close the camera, to take foto you have to take it out of the cover. 2 month ago one tablet screen stop working partially. You restart, press what you want and if you want to go back it won’t do it, you have to restart and press what you like. It’s a bit annoying. Eventually it’s stop working. I thought that’s because my son dropped it. But I had apple iPad and it was working for 4 years, 3 kids used it and sometimes they dropped it, but it was strong and kept going. Kids grew up and they are 5,6 and almost 8. I bought this Fusion tablets and they did look after them. Ok, one of them my son broke the screen by dropping but other 2 start showing the same problems with the screen and second one showed green screen and numbers and stop working then month later third one had the same problems.They start by freezing and showing red line underneath and on the top and then after a while they go green, black and numbers start jumping and then it’s shut off and won’t charge or work.. My 6 and almost 8y.o never drop they tablets and they was looking after them. I think it’s just this tablets have the same problems with the screens... I think better to spend more and stick to iPads as I know they will go thru the War and still survive like our previous one when kids was very little...

The tab is used mostly by my 8 year old daughter. During the lock down the tablet was used also for some Zoom online classes and it performed OK. It is a good tablet for the price, but read here below. After more than six months heavy usage I have the following to say. The screen is not hardened enough, hence it is highly recommended to install a screen protector otherwise it gets scratches easily. The micro USB charger port will not resist numerous charging plugin-s and outs, hence you should buy a magnetic USB connector. The original charger is a slow one and it stopped working after a month. Since then I am using the fast charger from my android A6 without any problems for months. The recommended folder is not worth it since it doesn't fit your tablet. The folder obstructs the camera and the controls.

I am asked to give an unbiased review - well, here goes. I have never had a tablet or similar before, being used to a desktop and laptop. I have always gone for what I considered good quality and good price. Being an octogenarian I have been ordered to rest of late and consequently one of my sons suggested I got a tablet when I was laid in bed during early mornings and evenings. As I awake quite early I have found the Fushion5 tablet very useful. Having had a desktop and laptop since 2003 I am fairly pc literate but, even so, the tablet has taken the best part of three weeks to get everything as I want it. A new learning curve I guess. I am not of the 'has to be instant' age. Initially I thought that the on screen keyboard might be a problem, however, apart from putting in a French keyboard as well as English one The French one was the only place I could see a $ key and some of my passwords have that symbol. One feature with the on screen keyboard has is the 'guessing'. It is pleasing to have a word or e-mail address given and save some of the tapping. Many years ago, some 60 years in fact when in the RAF and having to type long reports, I always wished my fingers could simply touch something (not a typewriter key however) to do my reports. That, like many undreamed of things, is now available. There is so much in the way of apps but my preference is my usual browser (Opera) and a few specific apps in English and French. No gaming ones however. Audio quality is poor compared with pc speakers of course. One initial annoyance was the desire for me to speak to the tablet, in fact one or two Google places still want to give that option, but I did not want that facility. I chose Fusion5 as Android is based on Linux, rather than Windows. I threw windows out of the window a little while after W10 arrived. Google is not in my top 10 so I use Duck and Go for a search where possible. I also have an app blocking adds. I chose a cover, from Fusion5, to keep the tablet undamaged when in transit. I have religious apps installed and this allows me to use it at my church and saves carrying two or three books with me; it is also useful when making visits to house bound folks for a similar reasons. There are differences between the larger pcs. laptops etc. but like everything in life you win some and you lose some. All in all I am quite pleased with my Fusion5 10.1" Android 8.1 Oreo F104Bv2+ Touch screen PC Tablet and am happy to accept what I consider to be its limitations as a small sized computer. There are, it seems, many accessories for those who need them. I haven't used the camera as yet, but I am sure they will be fine for the few uses I would want to take a photograph. I have noticed some internet signal drops. However, that is when I am upstairs and some distance from the router. Signals are usually quickly restored, so I have to accept this. Fusion and their distributor have followed the order through and given good after sales interest. Good to know. I only gave four stars, to the questions, as it is still early days with the Fusion5 tablet and I was asked for an unbiased report. Alan

I've been using this tablet for 2 weeks and I'm impressed by it. I've used to using an iPad mini and needed an additional, cheap tablet and found this one. The tablet operates well and feels sturdy when I'm holding it. The touch screen responds well, but I did have some trouble with it when I first turned it on. When I was going through the set up process, the screen wasn't responding when I touched on text boxes and whatnot. I just rebooted it and then it worked fine, and haven't had a problem since. Other than that I've noticed two set backs: 1) The screen feels flimsy. I'm used to the glass screen of an iPad which has that solid feel when you push it. This isn't like that, however it so far hasn't been a problem. 2) When I was researching this tablet, I read on a few other websites that there are no tablet cases compatible with it. Now, I haven't looked around but I will say that the ports and buttons on the sides are in odd places, so I do imagine you may not be able to find one unless Fusion5 offers one of their website. Other than those two negatives, this has been a good product and I'm pleased with it.

I like my Fusion5 tablet very much. It literally arrived the day after I ordered it. I love the large 10 inch screen. It plays most of my games with little to no lag, even larger games like action rpgs, racing, etc. Plenty of storage with 32 gig storage space. A few odd things though. Auto screen rotation ceased to function after a while and cannot figure out how to resolve this issue. Had to download a screen rotation app from Google play. For some reason several app say not compatible with this device like Asphalt 9 which is a bummer because I was looking forward to playing it on a large screen. Other than those minor issues I love my Fusion5! It is a great device for at home on the couch playing games, net surfing, Netflix. For the screen size, storage space, Graphics, speed, and Especially price I give this device 2 👍 up.

My 10-year-old son's iPad Mini gave up the ghost finally, so we decided to switch to Android, tired of Apple's ever-increasing prices without matching features and innovation. I first tried a Kindle Fire 8 HD, but even after hacking it to make the Google Play store available, it wasn't what he wanted. I agreed to trade him his Kindle for an upgrade - enter Fsion5. Even though I wasn't familiar with the company, their reviews had grown increasingly enthusiastic over the past few years. The tablet is well made, considering the price, and with a good case (see note at end) should prove durable. My son hasn't had any problems doing all the things he wants to do on the tablet - gaming, browsing the web, videos, and video conferencing. I even maxed out the storage with a $20 MicroSD card (try _that_ with an iPad). If the Kindle Fire 8 HD didn't meet most of my non-laptop needs already, I'd gladly buy a second one. One star knocked off only because the brand is not well-known yet, so peripherals can be hard to get. It took us three cases to find a case that was acceptable - and even this one blocks the main camera unless the tablet is removed. It does protect it well, however, and serves well to prop it up for his video conferencing with friends (plus it was under $20): "ProCase Universal Case for 9-10 inch Tablet, Stand Folio Case Protective Cover for 9" 10.1" Touchscreen Tablet, with Multiple Viewing Angles, Document Card Pocket and Bonus Stylus Pen – Black"

video capture is nearly decent quality. can sit a few days after full battery charge without charging again but seem to discharge almost too fast just watching youtube and no other apps running. can suffer from mishandling as covers has cracking noises -- putting two full hand grips on it as a way to carry it around seem to stress this issue; just need to handle it with gentle care and in bag/case. touch screen feels smooth and is responsive on touch; haven't noticed any lags. some basic, standard features for tablets functions. good start off for just a lower end tablet. fair pricing. still can assure a peace of mind.

I got these for my children to replace their Kindle Fires. The Kindles were good for some time but they are slow, have low storage, bloated and are restricted to Amazons market place. This means a lot of games are not available unlike Google Play store. These are excellent machines at a great price, I did a lot of research and there are not many options at this price and quality. I bought 2, and I had one problem on one when asking to auto update it was going to the camera and not doing anything, I got past this by skipping this step. One other issue is it will be difficult finding a child case for this device. I got a Kindle Fire kid case of the same size and altered it with an exacto knife. My kids are loving these devices and I do not have the head ache of a slow OS or side loading apps trying to get things to work. Last tip for kids, I use Googles family link to monitor content and it works perfectly. Another benefit over something like Samsungs child tablet that requires a subscription of 8/month for their child monitoring app.
