The track is super fast and noise level is tolerable. It’s a really good looking track set up. Takes 3 AA batteries which operates the finish line. Batteries should last for a good while. Hours of fun, and folds flat for storage. An excellent gift for a 6th birthday!

The first time we set it up he literally played with it for over 4 hours STRAIGHT! My kid doesn’t stay occupied for anything so this was amazing. The track is super easy to set up and there’s no questioning who the winner is as it calls it out and displays the number. The drop gate is easy enough for my 3 year old to press down without any issues. I was a little off put by the price but it’s worth every single penny. We’ve torn it down and set it up at least 6x since getting it with zero issue. It is a bit difficult to get it stowed back away right but we don’t mind. The track is super stable and he’s even fallen over it once with no breakage.

**Q: can you add additional race track strips? to make jumps or whatever**
A: Yes, you can do it !!! But, it is too fun already...My son is 2 1/2 years old and play with this every day !!! It is confidential: I love to play this with him...I always buy new cars and always choose the slower car, so he can win the race.

**Q: Item discontinued, So whys this version so much cheaper than other listings on amazon? Is it grey market or does amazon itself have any units on hand?**
A: If this is in regards to the 6 lane raceway, they (Matel) make a bunch every 3 to 5 years and then sell out.  Then 3 to 5 years later come out with it again.  Its the orange one.  Once this item sells out you can easily see prices for $300 to $600 on ebay.  $300 being about the lowest.

A: it will depend on which iyou choose to purchase, if you chose to buy a new item, then yes, it will come as brand new, unused in original manufacturers box.  If you choose to purchase the used option, then, you may not receive a brand new item in original packaging. Not sure which option you are looking to buy, but hope this helps!

Keeps kids busy! My grandkids played with one of these tracks for hours at a time! When I saw this available during prime days, I had to get for my great-grandson, even though he is only 21 months old. He is supervised while playing with it, but loves it already.
