This chain wrench is very well made and works very well . Most strap wrenches its hard to get them to grip the round smooth surfaces (like spin on oil filters) When you do get a grip the force needed to turn an evena slightly stuck filter can crush the filter housing or with cheaper wrenches that break before it turns the filter. Rubber strap wrenches grip somewhat better but also break easily. Chain wrenches usually dont break but still slip. The unique feature with this chain wrench I saw when looking for a chain wrench on Amazon was the small teeth on the edge of each link which I noticed other chain wrenches dont have. This is the feature that these wrenches have that makes them work so well. I removed a oil filter that had never been changed with no slipping and came right off. Great product good price Highly recommended.

Bought this for loosening an over tight large PVC pipe nut, but worked perfectly in a pinch when hurricane Milton hit and the gas cap was seriously stuck on my generator. Without this wrench, we’d have been out of luck for power.

Any diesel mechanic that has worked on Volvo knows that taking the filters off is like pulling panties off of a nunn... Difficult on the best day but this chain wrend is a game changer, put as long of a bar as you want on it, it's not breaking or slipping.

It did not work on a 2016 Volkswagen Passat.

I used this chain wrench to hold camshaft pulleys in place as I removed the bolts holding the pulleys to the camshafts. Anyone who has done this repair knows the bolts are factory tightened/torqued to an extreme. A strap wrench won't hold and I've had the cheap fork wrenches bend/break. This wrench worked perfectly and was cheaper than the other tools.
