Tallulah's Nutcracker

Lovely story about a classic Christmas traditions

We have been reading these Tallulah books to our 7 year old since she was 4. Another great one she enjoyed 😉

This book is adorable and the lesson about making mistakes is great for little ones who can become self conscious when making mistakes. It teaches that even people we hold on high make mistakes. And that what’s important is you keep on going and hold your head high. It’s important for a child’s little mind and spirit that they learn that there is no shame in making mistakes its all part of learning and it’s in how you handle it that counts. :)I love that the star of the ballet even came to speak to Tallulah bc it takes a village. More people should be vested in the emotional health and well being of our kids. To help them grow up into confident and secure adults.The illustrations were really nice. We loved reading it over and over. :)I think we need more books like this for kids that teach confidence and deal with issues that might be tough for them to understand or navigate.

My little girl loves this book

I LOVE this book. I'm a ballet teacher, and we have read this during Nutcracker season, which is especially fun for the girls as they are playing baby mice, just like Tallulah is in the book. It also teaches dancers that everyone makes mistakes onstage, and the important thing is that they continue on with the performance. Great confidence builder for young dancers, or any kid! The illustrations are fabulous and colorful, and I like that there is French ballet terminology throughout the book, with instructions for a few steps on the inside cover. It's a very well written book!

I adore all of the Tallulah books in Marilyn Singers series! But this might be my favorite! Great holiday gift for a little dancer

I bought this to read before we take my daughter to the nutcracker. It is a cute supplement to another book we have. This is NOT the story of the nutcracker but a story about a ballerina wanting to be in the nutcracker. Super cute.

I would have liked to see Tallulah show she learned her lesson to keep on going. Where was the next nights performance showing her successfully getting on stage and not stumbling. Ending the story after the pep talks backstage felt like there was not proving she was ready to "get back on the horse" after falling off. The first book had a nice epilogue showing she did not get her lilac tutu but a red one like the Summer roses.

Not what I expected. The little girl is not all that likable-I guess it gives a good message about trying hard and making mistakes-But not a big fan- my daughter doesn't seem to interested in it- her favourite part is the cover.
