GUM 505 Summit+Toothbrush - Soft (12 Pack) by Sunstar

No, I don’t work for the company, didn’t get these free, and not getting a Dime for this review, simply my unbiased and impartial take on these.I’m one of those people who(when purchasing a toothbrush) use to look for as many features as possible, thought this would somehow make my teeth cleaner, I looked for the brushes with tongue scrapers, little rubber spikes on the sides, gum massagers and what not, you know all the gimmicks these companies use to get us to buy their products. I’ve been switching back and forth between the 3 big brands in search of the perfect brush, I used brushes that made gums bleed, that were so big and bulky that there was no way anyone could open their mouths wide enough to reach your back teeth, or that simply didn’t clean correctly. One day during the pandemic, as I was stuck at home trying to just pass the time I read an article where users were just raving about these brushes. I did a web search and at first glance concluded that they looked unimpressive, just too plain looking to be any good, I mean, where is the tongue scraper, and the little rubber spikes, the rubber flaps and the upright and angled bristles that go from a round to a square to an oval pattern with different colors on them, and what, it only comes in Soft bristles, no medium or hard? I mean I’m already used to irritated and bleeding gums while brushing with those hard bristles, But hey let me give them a try, why not. We’ll let me put it this way, I will never go back to using any other brush, got my entire household on these now, these are simple yet wonderful brushes, no more bleeding gums, no more hard to reach places, no more dirty back teeth, no more gum irritation, no more gritty feeling on my gum lines or between my teeth, just a clean “I just came out of the dentist” feeling. Do yourself and your mouth a favor and buy these.

These are the best toothbrushes I’ve ever used! I got one as a sample from my dental hygienist. I looked everywhere to purchase another, when it was time to change my toothbrush, but was sorely disappointed to discover that they were nowhere to be found. As a last ditch effort, I decided to check for this toothbrush on Amazon. Imagine my surprise when I found it there. I thought, for sure, that it would be another dead end Thankfully, it wasn’t!

These toothbrushes are incredibly soft, maybe too soft, but easy on the gums, and more easily get between the teeth than do the stiff bristles of other brands. However, they do not remove my plaque or prevent tartar build up that the more stiff bristles seem to achieve. The company's shipping standards, which were reliably high in the past, seem strained during this time of low product availability; I received 6-tubes of Fixadent Plus instead of the GUM 505 Summit+Toothbrush - Soft (12 Pack) by Sunstar. Amazon easily allowed a refund, but for now no replacement possible. Hoping product availability improves, and that these toothbrushes return to "Subscribe and Save".

Facing some gum deterioration, my dentist used to provide these after each cleaning visit. Took a few days to get used to, but they work a treat. Then the practice changed hands, and the new "gift" toothbrushes are garbage. So glad to find these here, as they worked so well in keeping the gumline and between teeth cleaner.

I know it's all individual preference, but if you want a truly soft, gentle on the gums toothbrush that actually cleans the debris from between your teeth, then this is for you. TRUST ME... my wife works for a dentist! They have supplied patients with Crest, Colgate, Reach, and Oral-B brushes over the years. Generally whatever brand offers the dental suppliers the best bulk discount at the time. But patients always request the GUM Summit brand of brushes.

This is my favorite toothbrush. One reasonI like it specifically is because it doesn't have too many features, which I find useless or redundant, like a tongue brush. Don't let it's simple appearance fool you; this toothbrush does a better job than any I've had. It's soft enough to keep me from brushing to the enamel off my teeth, (dentists used to say I brush too hard,) but surprisingly, those longer, extra little bristles are stiff enough to push between most of my teeth and work them almost like floss, except I can do it to few teeth at a time. It also allows me to work them into my gum line a bit, (without causing bleeding, which always happened easily to me,) so I'm doing more than just polishing the surfaces of my teeth like with other toothbrushes, AND, the dental hygienist doesn't give me grief for not flossing!

These are the same toothbrushes my dentist gives me when I have my teeth cleaned. I like the softness of them because they are soft on my gums. I can't find these locally, so I ordered a lot of them so I have them on hand.

GUM 505 Summit+Toothbrush - Soft (12 Pack) by Sunstar: This is the toothbrush that my dentist gives me as a take-home after every cleaning. It's by far the most ergonomic and best feeling brush I've ever used. For years I looked for it in stores without success. d'OH! I should've checked Amazon. Now I buy 12 at a time.
