Mlvc60: Madonna's Most Amazing Magazine Covers: A Visual Record

This should really be a 3-1/2 star review, but that isn’t an option.Pro:- There’s a lot of material here. Over 300 pages, and most feature seven or eight covers. Hardcore collectors will flip for this opportunity to scour eBay for new favorites. It’s a must for them.Cons:- Print quality is heartbreakingly low. Color is dull. Images aren’t really sharp. This is almost certainly a POD release.- Roughly 8x10 page size means even the full-page images are significantly reduced in size.- It’s way overpriced, given the quality. If it were mass produced, the pricepoint would very likely be less than half.- Organization is questionable, given how much material is here. A straightforward, chronological order probably would have made it a more engaging experience, and a better reference.- Many images are reproduced multiple times, without much reason. That’s space that could have been used for larger or other images.My takeaway:Major collectors will love it. I, on the other hand, would rather have paid more for a larger or higher-quality volume, or less for 300 of the best covers presented on full pages.

Another wonderful book by Mathew Rettenmund & Anthony Coombs to be sure. Jamb packed full of amazing Magazine covers, many I have never seen. Wonderful that they tell you the year and country each is from. Splendid made book (Hard cover) and I already refer to it as my biggest shopping list ever.

Quality of images is subpar

such a comprehensive book for the obsessive collector like myself. i wanted to bookmark different pages to start scouring ebay to find these covers.definitely a great buy for a big fan! another amazing book by Matthew.

Beautiful book. Wonderful collection put together with a great eye for detail in a high quality edition. A must have for any true Madonna fan and a great conversation piece for those interested in pop culture and how she’s revolutionized it.

Lovely book and loved looking at all the memories but was so upset with the quality of the paper, almost as bad as a comic book and a dull blurry finish. It's no way near worth the price. I think a tenner would cover it. Such a shame as I collect all things Madonna
