Good adapter
This thing worked just liked it was supposed to. I had an old apply laptop that I wanted to connect to an external monitor. But the old apples don't have an HDMI outlet and only have what they call a thunderbolt outlet. Anyway, I plugged this in to my apple and attached the HDMI part the external monitor with another cord and it worked perfectly. The external monitor connected great! If you have an old apple with one of these Thunderbolt plugs, I would recommend these.

Does what it's designed to do.
This is replacing one I've had since around 2015 or so. It works as designed; however, it does tend to heat up where the HDMI cable plugs into it.

Excellent Connection Quality for 2012 iMac
Works like a charm. Good design product. The connection quality is great on my tv. I am using this adapter to my 2012 iMac.

Mini Display Port Housing is a Bit Large.
The Mini Display Port end is a little big for the aftermarket case on my Surface Pro, but it works great from the USB port on the power block.

Thunderbolt 2 Macs supported
Worked perfectly with my 2013 Mac Pro. My monitors only support 1440p but no issues whatsoever! Went with the 4K version just to be sure I got the correct resolution and refresh rates.
