Exam 98-372 Microsoft .NET Fundamentals 1st Edition

First of all I would highly recommend this book if you are going to take the exam. It is a great foundation and helped me get ready for the test in only 4-5 days. But, a very important note (and the reason I couldn't give it more stars) is that is missing quite a bit of information that is on the exam. I think without having a lot of prior experience, I would have had trouble passing it. The same goes for the practice test. I got a 97 on the practice test, but only a 86 on the actual exam. The questions I missed were probably the ones that the book didn't cover as I was pretty sure on the others. I had to use common sense on a few and probably skated by on a few of them. Also the book is full of questions but doesn't provide any answers.In summary, a great supplement to the exam, but by itself (and no prior knowledge), you will likely barely pass or not pass at all. The minimum score is a 70. Good luck.

The free code for the practice exam offered by geometrix with the purchase of this book was the biggest part to me passing the exam.If you just read the book by itself, you will learn some stuff, but you probably won't pass. The material is very dry and the examples are copy/paste. Glad I got the book, but really glad I don't have to read it anymore.

It will help you pass the exam. There are items on the exam thatare not covered in the book. I do consider this required reading and studying for the exam.I believe that the material in this book helped me pass the 98-372 Microsoft Technology Associate Exam3 May 2014

I found this useful for info about .NET I wasn't fully aware of, but I didn't get a chance to take the exam because it retired at the end of July. I would suggest moving on to software fundamentals (98-631) instead.

I used this book as my primary study guide for the 98-372 exam. It's a tough exam and this book covered the topic fairly well. I must admit that I wasn't expecting as many WinForm questions as I'm a web developer.

Book covers its subject well, but if you buy this as a kindle book...this book is not compatible with the kindle app for Windows Phone or Windows 8. you need to have the Windows Desktop kindle to view the book.

This book is so vivid in explining basics. Should have provided key and solutions for questions in end of every chapter.

Perfect, as described and seriously helping me towards being prepared for the exam.This book has already within two chapters allowed me to take a test exam of 16 questions online and achieve a score of 10 and I've only just touched the edges of this book. Confident I will pass by the time i finish it.

It has the basic outline of the course and covers all the bases for this Exam. It is not however sufficient in understanding .netBig minus is that the answers to the exercise are not provided. So unless you are doing the course from a school this book is not for you.

Literally no info.. more information is available on MSDN. you can read from MSDN.This book mainly concentrates on C#. If you are trying to understand .NET fundamentals on other languages (VB.NET, VC++), I suggest not to buy this book.

I know this item was coming from the USA but it does not take 3 weeks to get across the Atlantic. It could have travelled halfway round the world by then!!!! Ok gripe over product did arrive within the estimated delivery dates but disappointed on long waiting time.
