This is a great item. It holds up well in my hot tub

Why did you pick this product vs others?:i like the capability of using smaller tablets I have a small hot tub (2 to 3 people)

it floats, but I had it for less than a week and the top part kept coming off in the pool and then the bottom where you twist it so you can control how much water gets in will always slowly close by itself also, it literally cracked I’m not sure if someone used my pool overnight or something and broke it but it was fine all day and when I went back the next day, there was a crack, revealing the Styrofoam inside.

This unit I purchased for a small pool and it has the ability to adjust for how much water intake allowed. It appears and feels like it made of good material, that will last a more than a few seasons. I would purchase another if I had to for the cost of it.

Works great, easy to control how much chlorine is delivered.

I usually don't write bad reviews. I'm usually happy with products other people have a problem with. This is the MOST Low-quality piece of junk I've ever received. Very low quality brittle plastic. The telescoping bottom was loose and wobbly. I tried it anyway. A few seconds in the water the adjustment froze in place, and I couldn't adjust the openings larger. Then the collapsible unit froze in place. It just held water. Didn't dispense. The Tablets hardened inside into a solid block and nothing would clear out. Nothing about it would adjust. I couldn't get the hardened chemical dumped out. A complete and utter waste, completely unusable, and this all within the 1st 10 minutes of use. It looked good on the Amazon post. I was astounded at the cheap quality when I opened it. I shouldn't have tried to use it. I hope I can get more people to not promote the production of such cheap cheesy products by not buying this. I don't even feel confident that I have made it sound as bad as it really is. It wouldn't even be safe as a cheap bathtub toy for a child.

I am on #3 of these. They are practical but the weight base cap is utter crap and will crack and discolor. Would be better if they made one out of silicone or some other material that is more durable/flexible. In this case you do not quite get what you pay for, so be prepared to buy many of these.
