I have used other plant-based laundry detergents in the past, but Seventh Generation definitely surpasses them. It is ultra concentrated, so a small bottle lasts a very long time. It is good for sensitive skin and gets the clothes very clean. It leaves behind no heavy perfumes. Though a small bottle may seem like more costly than other brands, you are not paying for water and a small bottle like this will last at least 3 months if not more. I highly recommend it for those who are environmentally conscious.

I wanted something that cleans well without being overloaded with fragrances or harsh chemicals, and this detergent has been exactly that. I've been using it for several years now and absolutely love it. It leaves my clothes fresh and clean without the overwhelming perfume scent that so many detergents have these days. Another reason I keep buying it is that I appreciate the simpler, cleaner ingredients compared to many conventional detergents. This detergent is extremely convenient due to its small size. I hate having heavy and bulky things of laundry detergent taking up space. This bottle is so much smaller than most and provides the same amount of washes if not even more. No scent, easy to dose with the built in mechanism. Seems to wash clothes well enough.

I wanted a laundry detergent without a strong scent, and this Free & Clear formula has worked well for keeping my clothes fresh without leaving behind an overpowering fragrance. The EasyDose bottle is the feature I appreciate most. Kinda surprised at how much I like this. One squirt really does get my small-medium sized loads super clean. I can really tell. I always used basil by meyers clean because it left a nice smell on my clothes but i want to get away from fake fragrance. I was worried this wouldn’t keep my stuff smelling fresh but it feels like it gives my clothes a total reset. And i like how concentrated it is.

I bought a bottle of this and a few other clean eco friendly detergents to try back in Feb 13 2021. My fiance and I have only been using this since because I wanted to test each one out on its own until we’ve used them all. When we do laundry we usually do large loads and since we have an older washing machine it’s not energy efficient so we do two “doses” which would be two squirts I guess with its easy dose cap. Even though it doesn’t seem like it wouldn’t be enough it works great and we’ve both been really happy with this detergent. We each do a large load of clothes maybe every other week and clean towels and bedding just about as much so I thought we would have blown though such a tiny bottle by now. This is our first experience in a concentrated detergent so we were used to the big things of detergent and having to use a lot of it to get our laundry clean but this stuff has been doing great. We live in a pretty small apartment with not a lot of storage space so replacing a giant container of detergent for something more compact has been really nice. It also is a lot less of a hassle to dispense and we feel good about the ingredients in this too. We’ve been trying to be more conscious about the ingredients in the products we use and this was an easy transition from what we used before. I think now if we had to use regular detergent it would just feel wrong lol. Even though we thought we’d go though a whole bottle by now we still have a quarter left which exceeded our expectations. The one thing we noticed that was odd and weren’t used to was the fact our clothes had NO scent at all but they were clean. Usually we had some kind of scent on our laundry that gave it that “clean” smell and I’m sure it was clean but it was unnecessary and full of chemicals. I haven’t noticed any weird buildups or damage to our laundry from this product so I really appreciate that too lol. Overall I would really recommend this product theres so many positives with it and I don’t think I would ever want to go back to “traditional” detergent again. I also think is worth the cost, much easier to use, less messy, and takes up less space, and because it’s more concentrated you don’t need to use as much and it cuts cost on transportation. I think more products should be like this. Traditional detergents are watered down so it makes it heavier which in turn costs more money to transport it and it requires more plastic waste too. It’s just overall a great product in our opinion

This literally just arrived and I wanted to test it out. The cap did work well for me, the right (controlled) amount poured, not too much. It was also clean and not dripping. The ingredients are much better and skin friendly. The cost is a little higher than other options.

I have turned to Seventh Generation for laundry detergent, because I have allergies and sensitive skin. So many laundry detergents don't work for me, and Seventh Generation has been the most successful for my situation. The small bottle is also easy to lift and has a built-in device to measure each dose of detergent going into your washer. Great for older adults and those with sensitivities.

I've tried many sensitive skin, fragrance free washing detergents and this is the one I keep coming back to. Seems to wash my clothing well, no issues with skin and totally fragrance free. I had to get over the thought that I needed to use a larger amount of detergent per load. One squirt is all that is needed with this detergent. It also has not taken the colour out of my towels when I squirted it into the water directluy onto my clothing and towels. I am really bad about not following the directions about filling your washer with water and detergent BEFORE adding my clothing as I am always in such a rush. So many of the other liquid detergents have left discolourations on my towels but not this one.

Love that its ultra concentrated so my HE washer makes the best use of it. Super easy to use with the lid doubling as a measuring cup telling you how much detergent to use. Clothes always clean after wash.

We use it to wash all of our baby’s clothing and crib sheets. No rashes like from our previous strongly scented detergent! My only complaint is that the metered dose cap doesn’t work that great and I’m always kind of eyeballing how much to put in to each load.

I have a very hard time finding products that don't irritate my skin. I can't use any fragrance and there can't be harsh chemicals or my skin gets really itchy. This product doesn't irritate my skin at all, yet it works well enough to take dirt and smell out of my clothes. I work with dogs so my clothes are really stinky, using other detergents I could still smell it after washing. This stuff cleans the clothes properly and doesn't leave clothes smelling like they're still dirty, which is hard to find in a gentle, scent free detergent! Highly recommend to anyone suffering with sensitive skin, and a bonus that it's cost efficient compared to other sensitive skins products.

*for anyone that isn’t aware, this product is no longer for sale in Canada as they’ve stopped distributing all Seventh Generation products here as of this summer. We love this laundry detergent and have been using it for years as it is super concentrated, scent less and does a great job cleaning your clothes/towels & bedding. Great on its own or boost its cleaning power with borax, vinegar or baking soda for extra freshening. That being said, you can easily get this product for significantly less at your local drug store (London drugs for $18.99 regular price) or online (well.ca a 2pk goes for $35.96). $26 is waaaaaay too much for this product. Amazon, do better - this is price gouging at its finest.
