Lovely device but not for a UK socket and can't see this clearly marked in the description. Very disappointing.

I was given this as a present and have had it several months now. To be honest I don't know what all the fuss is about. It says it can do ten cups of coffee, but the filter size is only big enough for size 2 filters. I have to use my Melitta gourmet size 4 filter papers and cut them down to fit in order to get the best taste from the coffee. They don't make them in a size 2. The glass jug feels flimsy and is quite small, hardly able, in my opinion, to hold ten cups. The on/off switch is tucked right under the filter on the top right hand side. I'm always having to bend down and check that I've managed to fick the switch on, as it can not be seen when you're standing over the machine. It will keep your coffee hot for up to 40 minutes after brewing, which may suit some people, but not me, as I don't hang around once the milk has been heated. The brewing method is novel, but I don't think this make of machine is the one to make it truly successful. This morning it started making weird crackling noises when I switched it on, even though I had descaled it two weeks earlier. If and when this machine gives up the ghost on me, I won't be buying another one.

Premetto che sia io che la mia famiglia amiamo il buon caffè espresso all’italiana, premesso ciò, quando ho avuto la possibilità di testare questa bella macchina del caffè lungo, per meglio intendere quello tipicamente all’americana. La bella macchina è della Russell ed è facente parte della collezione di elettrodomestici in chiaro stile vintage, lo stile vintage con le sue morbide forme arrotondate, sposa la tecnologia e la modernità. Lo stile retrò con cui nasce è accompagnato anche da alcune funzioni progettate per migliorare il caffè ed il suo gusto. Il suo design è molto elegante, le parti principali sono in acciaio inox, i rivestimenti , le finiture, il manico sono in plastica, una buona plastica robusta e resistente, l'impugnatura è ergonomica e con tacchette che la rendono antiscivolo; mentre la caraffa è in vetro di buon spessore ed è termo resistente, antigoccia, essa ha una capienza di 1,25 lt., pari all’incirca 10 tazze, parliamo di tazze e non tazzine, questo lo denoteremo anche dalla grafica impressa sulla stessa caraffa. Nella base ci sono i piedini, per una posizione stabile ed antiscivolo, il particolare che lo fa essere in stile retrò, è l’indicatore del tempo del mantenimento della temperatura, e lo stato di erogazione. Questa macchina del caffè è dotata di Tecnologia "Advanced Showerhead" , questa tecnologia consiste in un processo di erogazione del caffè è migliorato, e con la sua funzione a "doccia" che fa in modo che l'acqua venga distribuita al meglio sul caffè presente nel filtro, assicurando così che tutto il caffè venga estratto e non venga sprecato. Il suo uso per me è dettato dall’esigenza di quantità di caffè, per la preparazione dei dolci, come il tiramisù, mousse al caffè, ecc., quindi questa caffettiera viene incontro a questa esigenza, e se poi ogni tanto vorremo concederci un caffè di tipo americano, come nei telefilm, lo facciamo con eleganza. Il funzionamento e il principio generale di questo genere di caffettiere definite all’Americana è molto semplice, il caffè estratto si va a depositare nella caraffa per precipitazione quindi per infusione . Nella confezione troveremo tutto l'occorrente per realizzare i caffè americani, purtroppo l’accessorio più importante ed essenziale, il filtro conico da inserire nel vano dell' infusore . Un ottimo prodotto, curato nei dettagli, materiali di qualità, tecnicamente ed elettricamente valido, in uno studio farebbe la sua bella figura , buono il rapporto qualità prezzo.

Tiene apagado automático , puedes calentar el cafe cuando quieras y tiene una bonita aguja que te marca el tiempo que lleva el café hecho. A los 45 min se apaga la cafetera. Es perfecta. El café sale bueno y los filtros los de Mercadona le quedan genial

Très bon produit qui allie une excellente fonctionnalité avec une esthétique rétro d'une grande beauté. Silencieuse, rapide, elle fait du café-filtre comme on les aime : suave et parfumé. Une seul tout petit bémol : penser à éteindre la cafetière une fois le café passé, car, comme l'ont noté certains acheteurs, la plaque demeure chaude (un peu trop peut-être) et le café risque alors de prendre un coup de chaud si on attend les 40mn de l'extinction automatique.
