I'm a GoPro 3 guy and have used a GoPro housing for lots of kayaking and snorkeling for 5+ years and the waterproof housing hinges finally cracked and became unuseable. The FitStill replacement housing is nice and clear and initial tests imply good waterproofing. I'm a little concerned about the plastic latching mechanism, since I take the camera in and out of the housing for charging and media downloads after most trips, so it gets lots of use. With the floatie back that I'm using, the load on the hinge seems to be stressing the hinge a bit. Only time will tell. I'll let you all know how it works out. So far, so good! Nice prompt delivery! I have two go pros -a 3 and a 3+ that I use for snorkeling. I had purchased the viewing plate for each camera that I use to view what I am filming as I snorkel. You need a different back plate for the housing when using this viewing plate. I did not realize I was actually using two different housings for each of my cameras until I received the replacements in the mail. I tried to add the back plate to this one but it was too small and that's when I realized the housings were not interchangeable even though I've used these cameras for years now. Fitstill included with their housing unexpected extras including anti fog inserts, and a lens cover and backer plate, All were very nicely packaged. Although I'm not using this right now, I am very happy with my purchase and glad to have a backup in case my dive case breaks. It was the standard waterproof housing that had broke.

I'm impressed with how sturdy this cover is. It came with mount and lens cover. I haven't used it under water yet, but it seems very well built.

Lots of bad reviews of the housing but it works fine for me. I noticed the latch WILL come apart if you're not paying attention but as long as you don't BREAK any of the plastic parts it can be reassembled very easily. If you're not a lame-brain you can put it back together with ease. If you ARE a lame-brain, you're on your own.

OK for a few dives then started to leak, looks to be at top button. Camera didn't flood and no damage. Just a little water in case a few times but getting worse. Contacted seller via email, they sent a new one. Hopefully it will be OK. Great service, but contact info was hard to find but it was there in the box the case came in.

the only issue is I can not find a depth color correcting adapter add on to fit the larger(which I think is better) lens cover. If someone makes a depth color correcting system to fit this lens housing, Please pass on the info/part#or and manufacturer, it would be perfect.

I have a few gopro hero 3's and 4's old originails wore out do to beach and water use. This one has the better lock and seal than the first ones. I do take a lot of videos on the job site thing get banged around , I like this one comes with anti fog pad and lens covers .. I'll be ordering 2 more. Thank you best price also..

I returned the product because I could not find a red filter that would fit this housing. I found a suggestion to use a newer version super suit filter, but it was ever so slightly too small. I contacted the Mfg and they sent me a link to their filter, but it clearly says it's not for diving.
