Good quality, basic, thiamine tablet
I could not believe some of the previous weird reviews posted for this product on Amazon by wannabe hedonists and/or recovering alcoholics !All I wanted to do was to purchase a good quality, 100mg, thiamine hydrochloride (HCI) based Thiamine tablet for good health purposes.As you get older, you have to get more serious about your general day to day health and supplement your vitamin intake to a sensible level because your body simply becomes less efficient at absorbing vital vitamins and minerals from your food however healthy your diet. This is why most older people have vitamin and/or mineral deficiencies. It is a sign of the aging process ! Your body craves B vitamins, in particular B1 (Thiamine), B6 (Pyridoxine) and B12 (ideally Methylcobalamin) which are all vital for good day to day general health and in particular, for good mental cognition and proper memory functioning.To complicate matters further all B vitamins together with vitamin C are water soluble vitamins. This means that your body immediately takes what it needs and you then pee out the surplus. So ideally, take your B/C vitamins last thing at night just before you go to bed in order that your body can maximise the benefit whilst you sleep.This product is a good quality supplement and it does the job and at a competitive price. Recommended.

Good if you drink alot!
I bought this for other reasons but what is interesting is that I can drink alot more when taking this vitamin without getting drunk or a hang-over! If you like to drink this helps with the negative side affects.
