This product is really similar to a higher priced name brand. It works great and the money I saved was used for pen blanks. I love the ability to fine tune using the screw feature. I wish it had a slightly bigger divot where you place the nib but it isn’t a big deal.

This press offers versatility and high quality. You can choose to use the handle to press the parts together or use the screw to gain finer control. It is well made and it is identical to the press offered by one of the major woodworking stores at a price that is about $30 less! I highly recommend this for any woodworker that wants to assemble pens.

Product works very well. Only complaint is sometimes when you’re pressing together a pen it will slip backwards on the teeth, causing you to have to reset it product could use a little further fine-tuning to make work perfectly.

Cheap metal will bend and not function properly after just a few uses. Put back in place but the slightest pressure on it and it will bend back.

Item arrived. Packaging damaged. Had to pick up a screw to mount the press handle because it was missing. The alignment between the base and press is out of alignment.

Solid, heavy and will last for ever. I only rated a 4 for ease of use as I wished it had a quick release, instead of making several turns when moving longer distances.

The u shape piston holder bends back. Locks up the piston. Have to pry up on piston to straighten or stand on it to push back in line.

Half the price of a comparable one, but just as nice.
