Apart from having to change the filament bold that came with it as it failed quite quickly I have found this a lovely, atmospheric occasional light. He gives off a lovely warm glow which is ideal at the bedside of an evening or in a cosy corner.

So... dont necessarily 'follow the herd' if you think this lamp will transform your breathing... look at the science... physical benefits are 'anecdotal' at best... I am basing this review on the lamp itself... It's an attractive, well constructed lamp that gives off a very 'soothing' light'... It may seem dull to start with, but your eyes soon become accustomed to it... and, whilst my eyesight isn't 20/20, I was able to comfortably read in bed with it...In my opinion, this is definitely a 'bedside table' lamp... a great choice for children's rooms if they don't like the dark... As I mentioned, I do my reading in bed before I sleep and, because the light is gentle and soothing, I find it very easy to get to sleep when I put the book down...In a nutshell... No health benefits other than paving the way for a good night's sleep... but that benefit on its own is a good enough reason to buy it... I definitely recommend it, particularly as it is so reasonably priced... Just be aware of what you are getting before hitting the 'buy' button.

Been looking at these for a while, purely because I like the look of them and the warm tone they give off.I don't belief half the nonsense on the box about ions, helping breathing and blood flow etc, if it were true I'd imagine its at such a low level you'd never notice.That being said, it's a lovely lamp. It's of a good size and of high quality.....I mean it's a lump of salt rock, but the wooden base and electrical unit appears to be well made. Small bulb comes in the box also.Definitely adds a nice warm tone to the living room when it's on which is lovely, and itself causes a relaxing affect.Definitely worth buying but just be realistic if you're buying it for anymore more than it being a nice looking lamp.

Great size and looks so good on or off.Really soft glow, perfect to use as a nightlight or just to make the room lovely and cosy.Only downsides are it didn't come with a spare bulb even though the instructions said it did, and removing the blue plastic wrap was so difficult I had to unscrew the base and it was really fiddly.I have wanted one of these pink Himalayan salt lamps for a while now but most of the ones I saw looked cheap, too small or light, but this one is everything I wanted honestly. It's a really massive and heavy bit of salt, seems well made, has a dimmer switch and all wired up safely. Really the salt part is just the lamp shade and you have an easy removeable circuit to place a bulb into. The glow from the light is not very bright but it is very warm and vibrant colour which I also feel has made the air around it fresher. If you are like me I recommend putting in the extra tenner or so to get one from this brand as it does seem like it is a cut above. Free 500g of salt is much appreciated. Might buy this as a present for others in the future.

This is a really nice and well-designed lamp. The shape of the salt rock is perfect, and the colours looks lovely. The base is made from wood at it has a real quality feel and look to it. The power supply is simple to add and remove from the salt rock, for when you need to change the bulb, and the wire has an inline on/off switch meaning you don’t need to turn it on and off at the mains. Two bulbs are supplied with the light and they should last a long while, they are also regular bulbs that are readily available and won’t cost a fortune to replace. The lamp stands between 17cm and 20cm tall and has a good solid weight to it.These types of light are supposed to have all sorts of health benefits such as increasing ions, reforming the air, killing bacteria, helping asthma and aiding sleep. Whilst I’m unsure of these claims what I can confirm is that this a top-quality light that looks beautiful both turned on and off, the colours are amazing and its soothing to look at. I’m really pleased with this light and it would look beautiful in any room of any home.

Arrived next day with two oven bulbs. I also ordered 2 leds equivalent to 15 watts as have had experience of old filament bulbs failing with heat build up when left on all the time. Leds stay cool and last a very long time. To me the weight, proportions and warm glow of light is perfect. My wife started "borrowing" on day 1 and I decided this was an essential rewarding glow for late working in the office so have just ordered two more. With something like this it might get damaged in the post and being a natural product the supplier cannot guarantee exact shape, colour or glow of the light. I found this bit of uncertainty exciting. For £20 plus say £3 for an led I find it strange that anyone can find fault. I am a sceptical scientific person but this light genuinely makes myself and others feel good and the lovely glow from the fascinating complex rock salt works at many levels. At this price it is a lovely magical gift and you will probably end up buying more!

Arrived promptly and was a doddle to assemble. Was surprised how heavy it was and looks really substantial. You can immediately see that it is a genuine Himalayan Rock and at such an affordable price. Came with a spare bulb too ...such a thoughtful idea. Had it on now for 4 hours and it is slightly warm to the touch which i find very comforting. Not sure how the health benefits it purports to have will be as only time will tell, but lying here, relaxing with just this warm, cosy, glowing rock, i can definitely say i am calmer. I will definitely be buying a few more as presents. Excellent buy, excellent quality and a lovely addition to any home
