This book is amazing! It allowed me to move beyond a guitar plateu and made me excited again.Sight reading is hard, however the author manages to deftly balance challenging exercises while keeping things interesting. The progression is very balanced, so every lesson is slightly more difficult than the previous, but not frustratingly so. It is funny to see how things that were impossible the previous week start to become more reasonable, while new things start difficult and become achievable. Highly recommended!

Purchased this book for my son who is taking lessons. This was the book the instructor requested.

The best method on classical. Very to the point, and easy to follow. Recommend to anyone serious enough to learn.

I am a classical guitar major at one of the top conservatories in the US and I also teach classical guitar to other college students. This is definitely the best book to learn how to read classical guitar notation specifically. If you're just wanting to learn to read music on guitar, this has a lot of information you might not need but for classical it pretty much has everything.My only gripes are the lack of solo pieces for students and that the order of the book is kind of weird. The pages explaining the notes of each string are really spread out in the book and it would be better if they were closer. The exercises and duets are nice but it would really benefit from more solo pieces because I have to use a separate book for that.Overall, very happy and thankful this book exists :)Happy practicing!

Loved it. Most of the beginning of the book I already know, but that is what I wanted. I am currently taking other lessons, but those are quickly coming to a close and after scanning and trying this book I am sure this series is my next learning target. Great book.

Excellent book, reasonably priced, order arrived promptly. The book was rolled up and stuffed into my apartment mail slot, which doesn't bother me but might offend someone more particular about their books, so be advised if you live in an apartment: it's not going to get special treatment on delivery.

An excellent instruction manual that not only provides the basics needed to begin playing a guitar but also provides the gratification associated with learning simple pieces of music within just a few pages of instructions.
