Vionic Women's Hightide

I have been suffering from Plantar fasciitis for about 10 months with no relief. I have tried everything from many pairs of expensive shoes to orthotics. I have been unable to wear anything but tennis shoes with orthotics this entire time. I have been to a podiatrist and a foot and ankle specialist with no relief. I even tried cortisone injections. I was unable to wear sandals or flip flops all summer due to intense heel pain. My husband and I planned a cruise and I was determined to be able to wear flip flops. I finally broke down and bought these. i was a little skeptical because of the price. I wore these shoes exclusively for a week straight and walked many miles in them. I now have no heel or arch pain at all! These shoes somehow cured me. They are also pretty stylish for an orthotic sandal. I didn't feel like they stood out. The black color is great. The base of the shoe is very ridged and provides great support. I will be looking into the rest of their line to order more.

I now own at least 10 pairs of this brand in different styles. This review will focus on the flip flop style.Fit: Order down if you are a 1/2 size and they'll fit perfectly still. They are slightly wider than normal, but my more narrow feet fit great even when swollen to bursting levels.Support: A firm, supportive bed with a molded arch and heel cup. Even though they are firm, I can handle walking on concrete for over 6 hours without pain with this brand... in a FLIP FLOP!Style/Colors: Colors are true to pictures with tons of styles to choose from.Upper: The thong between the toes is woven fabric. The underside of the straps is a super comfy neoprene type material.I have dealt with severe sweat (100+ temp in the 99% humid south), being soaked to the bone, and sandy situations. I never slip in these, debris easily shakes off, cleaning is a breeze and they dry fast! The darker footbeds can get hot if left in direct sun in hot temps, but they are still able to be put on without pain.My 1st pair is now 4 years old and still look, fit, and feel like they did on their very first day! They do not stretch out and stay that way, but will stretch a little when needed (ie for swelling). Prices can run $30-100 for the basic flops like these. If you find a pair for $50, you've gotten a deal!

These are one of a favorite pair of sandals. The arch support is excellent. I can wear them all day without my feet hurting. I highly recommend them.

I have feet that pronate and are pretty flat and I have plantar fasciitis. When I first put these on, they felt really hard. I didn't know if I was going to be able to wear then for long. I felt pressure in the arches that was a bit uncomfortable. I had read that a lot of shoes will soften and start to conform to your feel after wearing them a while, so I decided to just start wearing the around the house a little so that i wouldn't go somewhere and be stuck wearing them all day. The more I wore them, the less "hard" they felt and the less pressure i felt. I also noticed that the arch being a little high, put some pressure in the middle of my foot and when I would walk, I didn't feel the pain that I normally do closer to my heel. By wearing these around the house for just a couple of days, i noticed that when i would get up after watching t.v. for a while (which is when it was usually the worst), the pain wasn't as bad. I'm not going to say that it cured it, but I've only had them a few days (and now wearing them to work all day -although I am at a desk most of the day). These do not feel soft and cushiony at all, but they do soften a little the more you wear them. I feel it's better to have support in the right places than for it to feel like a marshmellow or feel like you are walking on "clouds" as some shoes advertise. I feel like if I keep wearing these (and i ordered a couple more pairs of Vionic sandals so i can rotate) and wear the brace at night to keep my foot from dropping and healing in that position (then tearing when i step on it in the morning), it will finally heal. I've tried the brace alone, but maybe the combination is what i need!

I Love these Vionic thong sandals. I actually own many different colors in the Vionic brand. They are the comfortable sandals I have ever purchased. These sandals really do help with my posture in standing/walking and are super cute. Even though the price is higher than other thong sandals, these are well worth the extra money as they are very good quality, so comfortable and they will last you a lot longer than a cheaper brand. I have narrow flat feet and this brand of sandals has helped me feel more comfortable and confident that my sandals won't slip off my feet. They have different sizing than other thong sandals as they run in whole sizes, so you can go a half size down for the best fit and support. The sandals come in a medium width and even with my narrow feet, they fit and look great on the foot! You definitely get used to the arch support very quickly and realize how much more comfortable it is to wear and walk in them so easily. Great buy and so worth it!

I like Vionic as a brand but I am not a fan of this style. They are well made and super cute. While I felt the foot bed was reasonably comfortable with both moderate arch support and cushion, my feet felt very unstable in them. The flip-flop style strap on top is not enough for me to feel that my feet were secure on an elevated platform like this, especially since they tilt the foot just slightly forward to the ball of the foot. It would have been fine in a standard height flat sole. I have narrow feet and felt like the strap was too loose and I was afraid I would step wrong and the sandal would flip sideways because there was so much give. I ended up returning these and the return process was easy and efficient.
