You can flip it over and snap back into place.
This patch panel is properly designed. By that I mean you can flip it over and snap it back in place so that all your punch down terminals are facing you. This allows you to conveniently and easily punch down your wires then flip it back over, snap it into place, and test your connections. Time saving and reduces chance of injury during punch down.

Really a nice device
What do I like? Well most everything. A feature which I have not seen mentioned is that I can temporarily mount the patch panel 180 degrees reversed (see the photo) so that the 110 style connectors are readily accessible while my RJ45 patch cords are still connected on the other side of the patch panel to working circuits. That makes it easy to add ethernet drops while not interfering with previously made ethernet connections made using the RJ45 patch cords connected on the other side of the patch panel. For the observant, my house was previously wired (before I purchased it), with 8 wire cat-5 like cable, but the original installer used the blue and orange pairs for two voice (telephone) circuits. I was the first homeowner to add data. Since the orange pair was already dedicated to the second voice circuit, I used the green and brown pairs for data by substituting the brown pair for the normal orange pair in a 4-wire data circuit. Can't get 1 gHz with that 4-wire wiring, but I easily distribute a 50 Mbps connection to the Internet received via DSL that way.Yes, I have WiFi in the house. But I was getting tired of looking at a rats nest of wiring. The two phone circuits (mentioned above) were connected to a dozen or so points in my home using a 66 block, with the brown and green pairs just left hanging by the original installer. I had added a few connectors to the left over browns and greens to connect to my modem/router to a couple of points in my home, but mostly it was a rats nest of unused brown and green wiring. So for a few bucks (and plenty of spare time right now), I can make those connections look nice. Cheap thrills? Perhaps. One comment: The add says that this panel can be used with a Krone style tool. My newly purchased punch down tool came with a Krone style blade in addition to a 110 style blade, so being curious, I gave it a brief test. The Krone stylet blade wasn't about to fit into the connectors on this panel with causing what I feared would result in a broken connector if I used force. Since this panel works well with a 110 style blade I wasn't about to test to see if it really does work with a Krone style blade, but I have my doubts. If you live in the UK, maybe they ship a somewhat different panel or maybe you will need to invest in a 110 style punch down tool if you don't have one already.Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

Close fit from bracket to back
Plan your cable runs ahead, I was planning on running the wires in from the side, and send half up the back, and half down. After getting my hardware board laid out and mounted, I quickly realized wire inlet needs to be from directly behind the block, coming into the center of the wall mount bracket.Product is solidly made, connections are secure, and the RJ45 plugs are firm and do not drag.

Great for home
I used this to connect drops in my home. Love that you can flip it in the bracket to easily punch down the cables.

Good value. Works great when installed correctly.
Great little patch panel for the the money. I agree with other comments on needing a deeper mounting bracket but it does work well when dividing the runs to have 6 feeding from each end as it won’t fit all 12 runs out of one side of the bracket. With a good punch tool, you shouldn’t have any issues. Take the time to punch your runs with the right tools and you should have solid success. It worked for me 100% on the first try. Would buy another if needed. Works great!

Quality is amazing for the price.
I am very happy with this Dshot12 Port UTP 10 inch Cat5e Network Wall Mount Surface Patch Panel. I have used a lot of these network Wall Mount Surface Patch Panel over the years. In fact on this project, the one next to this was one I put in 5 or six years ago and was 2 times the price as this one. I have to say this Dshot12 Port UTP 10 inch Cat5e Network Wall Mount Surface Patch Panel is well worth using. Easy to read wire map color code, solid punch down slots, and lots of wire management tie slot Everything you need.

It's a patch panel!
I'm a student and I needed this for some zoom instructed labs. I was able to strip my Cat6 cable (d*** plastic) and punch the wires down. I got extra credit for using the Cat6 instead of the Cat5, so I would say everything went well :) Bless any of you that do physical networking professionally, I'd rather be a code monkey!
