I wanted a sharpener that would work well with my recently purchased Prismacolor Premier colored pencils. They have soft leads and I know they can be difficult to sharpen. This sharpener was recommended by someone on a YouTube video in which she demonstrates how to properly sharpen colored pencils. I am so glad I took her advise. Just make sure to purchase the this wedge style Kum. I highly recommend this sharpener especially to anyone having difficulty in sharpening their soft lead pencils. I also recommend watching the video I have included to see the demo on the technique used with this sharpener. Using this sharpener with this technique has saved my expensive colored pencils. i got this because i draw and it sharpens my pencils so ever smooth i recommend "kum pencil sharpener" because how smooth they sharpen the pencils

This is a great size, lightweight, and sharpens well. I keep one of these in my backpacking gear.

Shouldn't have ordered.....very very small and not at all what I thought it was. Disappointed. Will be shopping for a better product. Would return but not worth the time.

I love this sharpener I just started adult coloring and saw another person on you tube use this sharpener It gives great sharp point on the prismacolor pencils which I use. I would recommend this sharpener highly. I am sure this sharpener makes my pencils last longer. It is small but does a great job. I keep mine in a small box when not using it,

KUM is the only one that sharpens smoothly and easily, almost effortlessly, with beautiful points. I've spent much more money on lots of other brands but one turn of this tiny but sturdy sharpener and I was struck with the difference and so pleased. Unlike a lot of other popular choices, KUM doesn't break my colored pencils, the blade is so sharp that it cleanly slices where other sharpeners break the lead or crack the wood.You can choose blade replacement but at this price buy a new one when the blade gets dull. Just make sure the KUM name is stamped into the body of the sharpener, there are cheap imitators whose product doesn't perform.
