It is made of silicone rubber which is nonreactive, flexible, and resistant to high temperatures. Silicone is resistant to ozone, weather, detergent, salt water, engine and transmission oil, non-petroleum brake fluid, hydraulic fluids that resist fire, vegetable and animal oils, and high molecular weight chlorinated aromatic hydrocarbons. It has a Shore A Hardness rating of 50 for flexibility, and has a translucent natural color. The tubing can withstand temperatures from -100øF to 500øF (350øF maximum for NSF applications). It is sterilizable with steam or gas for repeated use. Standard barbed fittings and lined hose clamps are recommended for most applications. Used to desalinate sea water
Works great. I used it to couple between a pressure cooker and copper tubing. The silicone tubing is able to withstand the heat and is flexible enough to easily accommodate altering position of the pressure cooker to copper tubing.My only "complaint" is I should have purchased a longer section (me bad).

True to its description
This is just as advertised - there isn't anything for me to add. I'm using it to link the valve on my bottling bucket to a 3/8" OD brass filler tube.
