I read the other reviews that said this comforter was not as puffy as the picture. Usually reviews like that get my attention but this time I chose to ignore the warnings and buy it anyway and I'm glad I did. My husband likes a plain down comforter with no duvet (I know, he's weird) and his old one had so many feathers coming out you'd have thought a chicken was plucked in the room. I saw this comforter, good price for a king size and gave it a try. When you get your comforter you will be surprised how tightly they packaged it. It comes in a box with the product name outside. It arrived ahead of schedule and in good condition. It is important that you follow the instructions to fluff up the comforter. YOU HAVE TO GIVE IT TIME TO DECOMPRESS. When it does it's as if someone pumped it up. It becomes big and fluffy and you can sink into it. I actually draped it over my bannister for a day to allow it to fluff. There was no odor at all and it arrived clean with no spots, smudges, nothing. As for warmth, it definitely is, but It's not a heavy-weight suffocating type of blanket. The material is not as soft as I expected since it's supposed to be egyptian cotton but the material is not thin either. It looks like it could hold up to a number of cleanings. Which brings me to the one thing I do not like about this comforter. They prefer you handwash it! Are they nuts? Instructions say dry cleaning is ok but it's better if you handwash and air dry. No washing machine, no dryer - what century do they think we're in? I am not handwashing a king size comforter and where am I supposed to air dry this? Bottom line, the comforter itself is great, I highly recommend it. Only minus are the cleaning instructions. UPDATE: It's over a year since purchase and it's still a big puff. The material got softer and not one feather has peeked out. I've only dry cleaned it and it comes out great, although a bit expensive ($60). Still recommend, great purchase!

This comforter is PERFECT! I'll skip right to the nitty gritty: 1. 100% down. This means ZERO QUILLS, straight up. I know, 1 million people asking the same simple question and no direct answer- how...political. 2. Crunch. Yes, it makes a little noise (like when you put on a trench coat) but the noise IS NOT from feathers/quills, its from the tight knit of the 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton. Sooo... its the sound of luxury, lol. 3. Weight. It has a GOOD weight to it. It's not one of those cotton comforters from TJmaxx that you can throw across the room in the morning when you're running late for work. It reminds me of when I was a kid and my mom would drop a fresh load of laundry on me, its just snuggly (and you gotta work a little to get out from under it). 4. Warmth. I live down south and bought this before the cold hit(20'sF). Ive never slept in a down comforter before but it has an uncanny way of having WEIGHT(snuggle factor) without making you sweat in the summer, and then creating a little pocket of warm snuggly salvation when it's a wet freezing wasteland outside. 5. Fill. The boxes did look flat for a few days after I unrolled it, even after a couple weeks of sleeping on it the boxes never really "popped". BUT! I tossed it in the laundry for the first time just recently and now you can see the boxes all perked up even with my duvet cover over it. 6. Cucuun/Cocoon. Apparently they're the same company(?) I don't know how that works but in my head I believed cocoon=good quality and Cucuun= knockoff. I bought the "cocoon" and received "cucuun" and about had a meltdown thinking I got a fake. I emailed "cocoon"(who I bought from) and received a response right away stating both names are the same company and same quality. To that I say- you do you, boo boo. So, while you're over there digging through comments to see if this duvet is worth it, I'll be over here reliving some of my more fond childhood memories. PEACE!

The most amazing comforter ever. I get why it's called a comforter now, it's perfect and it makes crawling into bed every night a treat. It is likely warmer than the winter version, but this one is perfect for a Georgia winter. I love that it has the corner loops to keep the duvet on straight. I have a queen bed on a high platform frame, but I ordered a king so that I have plenty of comforter to roll in and so I let a little more drape since my bed is so high off the floor. Some people have mentioned that it makes a lot of noise when you move under it, but for me it's a really pleasant and soothing sound. It's not crinkly at all, more like sheets moving in the wind but sort of muted. It makes these sound because the quality of the fabric is very high and does an excellent job of keeping all your warm and fluffy downy where it should be. For me the sound is almost a lullaby. The price was very reasonable on this quality item. And I'm so glad I treated myself to this little piece of heaven.

we had a synthetic duvet before-this one is wonderful.... not too hot its honestly perfect temp. I will never buy a fake duvet again- those are the heat trappers. if your a hot sleeper this is for you!!

We are very happy with this down comforter. I had ordered a down comforter from a local store and returned it the next day, because it was not soft, had pokey feathers in it, sounded like sleeping under a tarp (loud, crunchy sound), and did not extend far enough over the sides of our California King to fit nicely. I decided to take a chance and order this one from amazon. It is far superior in all areas. It is thick, but light weight; soft to the touch (not silky, but soft). It is clearly made of only down feathers (no pokeys in it at all). It definitely keeps us warm, but doesn't make us sweat. It will be too warm to use in Summer. It does make somewhat of a sound when you fold it back, but not enough to bother either of us; and it clearly hangs down well enough to fit as a top blanket nicely (as you can see in the pictures). We sleep quite comfortably under it. An excellent purchase.

Really nice quality for the price. SUPER FLUFFY. Most other down xomfortirs looked sad and flat on the customer review pictures. This one is ACTUALLY thick. All the boxes are nice and filled. I fold our comforter into 3rds on tge bottom end of the matress and it sits up a good 7-10 inches off the matress while folded like that. If I were to fold it into a square I can barely wrap my arms around it without laying on it to flatten it out first. I'm really trying to get across to everyone here just HOW fluffy this thing is. We got the cali king size. Originally bought tge queen but our matress is abnormally tall (matress, 3"memory foam+3" feather bed-its tall) and the queen didnt hang far enough over the sides. HOWEVER....... this comforter is freaking HEAVY!!!!! You can hear the weight slap down when you pick it up and drop it. And since we got the cali king it tends to pull really heavy on the sides and can feel like your stuck if you tend to flip and turn a lot. I'm sure that wouldn't be an issue if we stuck with the queen size. I didnt notice any smell when we opened it. It fluffed up nicely right away. The first one was vacuumed sealed and boxed. Tge second one was just wrapped tightly in fabric and boxed. It has loops for a duvet cover and it also has a very pretty rose gold threading around the perimeter. Adds a nice touch. And the fabric is very soft not crinkly. If you're looking for that jump into a cloud type of vibe. This is it.

I LOVE this comforter. It is 100% down. No goose feathers like so many others. I love that the company states that they strongly do not support slaughter of animals in order to produce products. In addition, the comforter is very high-quality. It is not for someone who is interested in a light weight comforter. I like a heavier one, so I would consider this medium weight. The comforter itself deserves 5 stars in itself but the reason I mentioned 4 1/2 is because I would take 1/2 star away because they recommend hand washing it. I can’t imagine how I could possibly hand wash a king size down comforter. Totally not practical. You can dry clean it but they say they don’t recommend it and you cannot machine wash or dry. But, for the price this is an amazing buy. I do not use a duvet cover because I love the look of a plain comforter so I have to be careful not to get it dirty or… I might have to take a chance with the washing machine on the hand wash cycle and air dry in the dryer.

Very disappointed with this seller and item. They were selling a "Used - Like New" comforter, which did not meet amazon's description. It fits amazons description as "acceptable" "Used - Acceptable: The item is fairly worn but continues to function properly. The item may arrive with damaged packaging or be repackaged. Signs of wear can include aesthetic issues such as scratches, dents, and worn corners. The item may have identifying markings on it or show other signs of previous use. The item may be missing some parts/accessories such as screws (in the case of furniture) or a mouse or USB cable. (in the case of a laptop.)" The item did not arrive with original packaging, it was just thrown in a box - (not the biggest deal). But there were CLEAR signs of use and they didn't even bother to clean it up. The ENTIRE comforter was covered in BLACK LINT, from what I assume was someones duvet cover or another blanket (a clear sign of previous use). Gross. I would not have bought this item if it was advertised as it properly should have been: used- acceptable. When the seller was messaged, they replied 6 days later (their automated email says they reply within 24 hr + no weekends) and claimed the item was as they stated and told me to return the item or accept a 20% discount. Their email was quite curt and showed lack of care for their customers. I replied to resolve the issue and they have not replied. It's been 5 business days. Thankfully amazon support has come to the rescue to resolve this issue with an amazon credit. - Thanks amazon! :) And as far as the product itself --- Ya, I would not even buy this new. Yes it does keep you warm, but it is not light and fluffy - It is dense and the down feels bunched up. I don't know if the previous owner maybe washed it and it started clumping or if this is just how the item is. Either way, it is not like my other down comforters which are fluffy and soft. The shell of the comforter is rough and loud. When tossing and turning, there is a noticeable difference in this material and it sound versus other down and non-down comforters I have used.
