Product reviews are a mixed bag sometimes and it seems very little has been mentioned about this item. I purchased these light covers instead of the option of putting tinted film on my Mustangs tail lights. I liked the idea of these adding protection on top of giving my mustang a more aggressive look. I have to say after installing these which is very easy to do, took less than 10 min. I was very pleased with the results. Instantly changing the look of my Mustang and adding in my opinion a much darker look than can be achieved with film tint. That may be the only draw back depending on the Laws of your State. Some State Laws will not allow modifications to vehicles. People should do their homework before they decide to purchase. These indeed will dark out your tail lights to BLACK while no lights are in operation and translucent enough to allow Red light to show through only at night time driving. With Break lights being brighter, will show through during Day and Night driving without any issues. These fit my 2018 Mustang GT like a glove and are cast molded to fit on top of the existing tail light without using any tools. This brings to question just how do the stay on... The product comes with a small strip of 3M double sided sticky tape that in theory will hold the cover to the existing tail light. This is why I give this a 4 star rating instead of 5. This is a very expensive product and to protect your investment you should replace the tape that comes with the product with something a bit more secure. I found it was way too easy to pull with my fingers the existing 3M tape shipped with the product off. There is absolutely zero adhesion from the stock tape. I don't know if the tape being used is a knock off brand that just uses the 3M logo or if it's just old 3M tape that lost it's ability to be sticky. I instead decided to replace the tape and use 3M Scotch Brand velcro circles ( these can be purchased at any hardware store or store isle ) This allows for removal of the lenses when washing the car, or in the event law enforcement requires you to take them off. They are secure enough to stay on at High Speed / wind sheer and will last the life time of the product. I have attached some pictures to show the before and after look of just how dark these covers are and hope that my review will help you decide if this product is for you. I personally love them and recommend them to any Mustang owners out there. Just be safe and find something that will better secure them to your vehicle.

Do not buy this cheap product. They have been installed for a few months and already they are fading and cracking.

I previously had the tail lights tinted with American Muscle premium quality tint kit (installed by a tint shop), but it still looked tacky. After installing these, I can say without a doubt they are worth the money. You do not have to worry about them coming off either. They fit snugly and the 3m adhesive included holds them on tight.

Great fitment, a little pricey, but to add the blackout look while also protecting the taillights it’s honestly worth it.

Don’t buy these. Complete waste of money. Installed and 2 were off within 24 hours and 1 time driving. Reached out about issues and nothing resolved. The double sided 3m tape was still on taillights so wasn’t installation issue.
