The output is for S-Video, VGA, or RCA only. It does not have a cable connection. It is very easy to hook up, but if your TV has a Video channel or setting, as mine does, that is where it works. It will not work on any other channel. Once set up, it will display whatever is on your computer monitor. I have an S-Video connection on my older TV, so have not tried the RCA plug. You will need separate speakers, as this device is for video only. Picture quality can be adjusted, so play with it until you get it to your liking. Overall, this thing works well, but have children leave the room while connecting it.
