Love the lens...
OK, I give the lens itself five stars. Probably needs to be calibrated to get perfect track sharp photos but so far I'm super happy. Bought it for bird and nature photos around home but immediately took it with me to Alaska on vacation and have been using it wherever possible on our hikes through the nature preserves. I always looked at the extras as a bonus, and expected little, other than the dock which i felt was essential. The memory cards seem to work fine, but the monopod does not fit the lens collar so it is useless [EDIT: Turns out *I* am useless. Didn't realize there was an adapter screwed onto the right size screw that DOES fit the lens and my camera. Five stars all around!] . Dreamed of having this lens a long time before pulling the trigger. When it went on sale for $899 with the dock and other extras, it was a no-brainer. Can't wait to use it more and spend time evaluating results more critically, but so far it is living up to my high expectations. Very happy.

Outstanding lens for the price.
First the lens. Attached is a picture I took from my backyard with the lens right out of the box using the Auto Focus and Image Stabilization hand holding it on my Cannon Rebel T6i DSLR. I can hardly wait to see what the pictures will be like when I get myself comfortable with the manual settings. The lens case is sturdy and offers great protection.I bought the bundle because it was the same price as the lens. The memory cards are pretty standard, but I can always use extras. The filters too seemed to be standard and the UV filter gives the lens some extra protection. The backpack is not of high quality and I have already bought a much better one to replace it. It isn't that bad really but I just felt I wanted something more substantial to protect and to hold all of my equipment. I might just use the one that came with the bundle for a GoPro and all of the attachments for it.The monopod seems to be ok. I have never used one before, so I will need to try it out.Overall, I am quite pleased with this purchase.

Looks to be another quality Sigma product
I bought this to use with my Canon 80D. I have another Sigma zoom lens that takes excellent pictures and think this will live up to my expectations from that experience. It is a heavy lens, so you will have trouble shooting handheld, and will almost certainly need to use a sturdy tripod to ensure sharp images. I set it up on my carbon fiber tripod and it worked great. I can't speak to the durability yet as I've only had it a few days, but the lens does come with a well-padded case in the box, which should do a good job protecting it. There is an extra strap to attach to the tripod ring if you want to carry it that way, but I'm not sure that's a good idea. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars right now is that there seem to be some auto focusing issues that may or may not be the fault of the lens and how it matches up to the Canon requirements. I couldn't get the auto focus to work reliably while shooting around the neighborhood. I'll need to read the instructions that came with the lens carefully again and check the settings on my camera body, then want to try it taking pictures of some wildlife at a distance as well as closer in.The package extras from Focus Camera were a wonderful addition. Since it has such a big front lens (95mm), the UV haze filters can be expensive. It was great to have one available right away to protect the lens even if I decide to buy a higher quality UV filter in the future. The two San Disk 64G SD cards were a major bonus and the Vivitar backpack is very flexible and can be set up for lots of different equipment layouts. I'm not sure if I want to try the monopod with this lens, it's just too big, but the monopod will be a nice option for when I'm shooting with smaller lenses. I'm not sure yet how to use the Sigma dock to make adjustments to the lens, but it should be nice to have some way to fine tune things without having to send the lens back to the manufacturer.Overall this is a good buy on a quality lens from a reputable manufacturer. I'll update this review after I've had a chance to do some significant field testing.

Great lens for the price
Removing 1 star as the monopod provided doesnt match the lens mount. The lens mount is 1/4 inch, the monopod provided is a 3/8 inch.

Product as advertised.
Polarizing filter is low quality with fuzzy images at 600mm. UV filter has no distortion. Quality polarizer is $375 but no noticeable distortion. Lens works with Canon 1.4 extender yielding 840 mm. Auto focus is a bit slow at that distance but works pretty well. Manual override may be appropriate if subject is still. Used with Canon 5D Mark IV body. Lens not quite as sharp as a Canon 100-400 II L ISM but close. So far, used one day hand held. It is heavy but does a great job on birds. I suspect a tripod with prefocus targets (i.e. bait) will yield sharp bird pictures. Haven't tried but may be difficult to catch birds on wing due to weight and length. First experience with lens this big. So far, looks like good value and worth keeping along with Canon 100-400 to get additional range.

Outstanding Picture Sharpness
I wish I'd bought this lens a long time ago!!! Picture quality is outstanding. Yes, it's heavy but that's a small price to pay for the quality of the photos. If you're looking for a quality telephoto lens, buy this one.. You won't regret it!
