Dr. Scholl's heel cup
Product works well in a shoe that ties. It seems to help my heel bone spur.Doesn't work so well in slippers as it doesn't stay into place.

My Honest Take on Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Heel Cups After Months of Use
My Honest Take on Dr. Scholl's Massaging Gel Heel Cups After Months of UseIโve been wearing these heel cups for about three months now, mostly while working long shifts on my feet and during weekend trips around Floridaโthink strolling through Disney, walking the beach boardwalks, and hopping between conference venues. I bought them because Iโve struggled with achy heels after hours of standing, and I wanted something simple that could slip into any shoe without fuss. After testing them in sneakers, casual loafers, and even a pair of work boots, hereโs what Iโve found, straight from my own experience and what other buyers have said. The biggest plus is the cushioning. The gel feels soft yet supportive, and the allโday shock absorption really makes a difference when Iโm on my feet for hoursโฏโโฏmy heels donโt ache the way they used to, even after long walks or standing in lineโฏ. Iโve noticed that after wearing them daily, my feet take longer to start hurting than they did without any insertโฏ. The slim, tapered design means they slide into most shoes without feeling bulky, and Iโve been able to trim them a little to get a perfect fit in tighter shoesโฏ. They stay put surprisingly well; I havenโt had them sliding around once theyโre seated in the heel cup of my shoeโฏ. For someone like me who deals with occasional ankle discomfort from an old injury, the raised profile does seem to help distribute weight off the heel, giving a bit of extra stabilityโฏ.On the downside, the fit isnโt universal. I have a sizeโฏ9 shoe, and while the package says they fit sizesโฏ6โ10, I found the cups a touch small for my heel, leaving a bit of gap at the sidesโฏ. If youโre on the larger end of the size range, you might need to experiment with placement or even use a tiny bit of doubleโsided tape to keep them from shiftingโฏ. A few reviewers mentioned that without adhesive, the cups can migrate inside the shoe and actually worsen foot painโฏ. I havenโt had that happen because I make sure the shoe interior is clean and the gel side is firmly against the insole before I step in, but itโs something to watch if youโre prone to loose inserts. Durability seems solid; after weeks of daily wear, the gel hasnโt flattened or lost its springy feelโฏ.When it comes to value, I think these hit a sweet spot. Theyโre not the cheapest insert on the market, but for the price, you get a reusable product thatโs held up for months and delivers noticeable reliefโฏ. Compared to pricier orthotics or custom inserts, the Dr. Schollโs cups are a lowโrisk way to test if heel cushioning helps youโespecially if youโre on your feet a lot for work, travel, or exerciseโฏ. The company even offers a sixโmonth comfort guarantee, which adds peace of mind if you end up unimpressedโฏ.In practical terms, Iโve used them most on days when I know Iโll be standing or walking nonstopโairport terminals, themeโpark queues, long lecture halls. Theyโre easy to toss into my bag and swap between shoes, and I donโt have to think about them once theyโre in place. If you have plantarโfasciitisโtype soreness or just general heel fatigue from impact, theyโre worth a try. Just keep an eye on the sizing and maybe have a small adhesive strip handy if you notice any movement.Overall, Iโd give these heel cups a solid **4 out of 5 stars**. Theyโve made my long days on my feet noticeably more comfortable, and while they arenโt flawless, they deliver enough relief to justify the cost for someone who needs simple, everyday heel support.

Good, but I eventually found better for me
My foot and ankle orthopedist told me to find the softest heel cups I could to help with my heel pain. These were advertised specifically for that condition. First, I had a lot of trouble getting these heel cups to stay in place. They have rather high, thin sides, and I always had to be careful to not mash them down when putting on my shoes. However, I had another pair of heel cushions that were harder, but much more stable. I put these other heel cushions on top of the Dr. Scholl's Heel Cups and after a few days, the Dr. Scholl's adhered to the inside of my shoes quite well. Second, I found the Dr. Scholl's to be soft, but not all that thick. I ended up buying a cheaper gel heel cushion at Walmart that were just as soft, but also thicker and therefore more impact absorbing. I put the Dr. Scholl's in another pair of shoes I wear much less often along with the sturdy heel cushion. So...I still use them, just occasionally.

Even Better Than Previous Model
Bought these to replace a pair I had for a year or so. Unfortunately, I did not keep the packaging from the first pair, so I do not know if these are exact replacements. That said, these are superior to the previous models in that the edge of the "cup" is more robust. The previous model had a gray-colored, cup rim that tapered to a fine edge. That fine edge is what deteriorated to the point of needing replacement. You would think that one could feel the blunter lip on the new model, but it is not noticeable. These heel cups have made a pair of marginally comfortable shoes very comfortable.

Hard To Recommend...
My first thoughts when I put these in my shoes was wow! What a difference! But then when the honeymoon phase wore off, I quickly decided these needed to go back. They're very thin and shift around in the boots once the stickiness of the bottom wears away, which happens to seemingly quickly. The squishiness of them also faded very quickly, they attract dirt and lint very easily and become unpleasurable quickly. For how expensive these arez they are really not very substantial and offer very little value. Look elsewhere.

Total resolve for foot - heel problem
The front part of my foot is very wide but I have a narrow heel. Almost all my shoes, sneakers and boots need to a size medium or wide which creates a problem for my heels which go up and down and can irritate my plantar fascia. Therefore I use Dr Scholl heel cups in every shoe, sneaker or boot even with my custom orthodics. Been using them for probably 20 years and they are the only product on the market which resolves my problem.

Problem with th front of the heal up rolling up.
Does not work for me. Folded up and stuck together causing me pain. I had no idea it folded up until I took my shoe off. Cannot get it apart. Was a waste of money for me.

Overall poor quality
I bought this after a physio recommend and have been using for about a week. Firstly, they arrived in a package that was open and looked like it had fallen down behind something for a year; dirty and grubby. Which would be fine, but the actual heal cup is about at the end of it's life already. It's bunched up on itself and won't become uncoiled. Extremely dissatisfied and won't be buying this brand again
