Lutein 40mg 90 Capsules - Eye Supplement UK Made. Pharmaceutical Grade Vision Supplement for Eyes

I have mild astigmatism in one eye and have been wearing glasses for 10 years to compensate for it. I've also been taking lutein for optimal eye health for 15 years, but switched to this brand for the first time about 12 months ago.My main motivation for writing this review is that I gradually stopped wearing my glasses and haven't put them on in the last 8 months. This puzzled me for a while as my prescription hasn't changed at all, but the astigmatism no longer bothers me at all. I suspect the better eye may be more dominant than it was and maybe there's been an overall improvement in clarity. In any case, the only change I've made in that time was switching to this higher strength lutein (probably 2-4x the strength what I was using previously).Needless to say I'll continue using this brand and I hope it has a positive effect for your eye health too.

Depends on why you take them but for me they’ve been perfect. Since hitting the menopause my eyes were struggling with working on a computer all day, we’re very noticeably dryer, less focused, tired and twitchy. Can’t believe the difference. Like I never had an issue. Obviously the change in hormones must affect your tolerance to overuse of computer screens and this remedies it and I only take one a day. Amazed at the difference

Seemed way better value than all the other brands for double the no. of tablets. I'm v v v short sighted & have v uncomfortable dry eye issues too since I hit my 40's, so my Optician thought it a good idea to try Lutein. We will see if it helps.

I was shocked and upset after a recent optician’s check up appointment to be told they have detected the very very early signs of macular degeneration in one of my eyes, and I’m only 52. Likely to be inherited from my mum unfortunately. The optician strongly advised Lutein supplements to slow down and hopefully improve the degeneration of my eyes. Horrified and shocked I wanted to do anything I could that would help. These are the 2nd type/brand of Lutein supplements I’ve tried (first trying Lutigold extra from Holland and Barrett which were very expensive at around £15 for 20mg strength Lutein for just 30 capsules). I saw these on Amazon and they seem a much better deal at £9.99 for 180 capsules and are twice the strength at 40mg. The capsules seem to look exactly the same as the Lutigold extras. An important factor to me are that they are manufactured in the UK which reassured me, as the UK has strict legislation and guidelines into drugs and supplement manufacturing. I checked out Supplements.co.uk before purchasing to reassure myself they are a genuine and reputable company…..which they are, with thousands of excellent review ratings. I think I’ll stick with these as they’re extremely good value for bulk buying and have a higher mg dosage than other brands….which can only be a good thing I guess. As for if they work, I’m not really going to know for several years I think. All I feel I can do is take the advice of taking Lutein like the Optician suggested, take a high dose of Lutein daily, and hope against hope it keeps the macular degeneration at bay and helps keep my eyes healthy for as long as possibly. I’ve just done all i can do for now. Yes, these capsules are the plastic oval capsules that aren’t that pleasant to swallow but I’m fine with that, swigging them down with a big mouthful of tea or water. I’d rather that than have macular degeneration. Hopefully, in the coming years I’ll see a big benefit return in taking these 🤞 . For strength and value I can’t fault these and haven’t found anything else better.

When leaving this review I was thinking what’s the most important about this product to be pointed out.Ingredients here are pure and organic. You don’t get anything in here like bulking agent or flavours to taste better.This product does its healthy job!Looking at others brands and after careful read what’s the ingredients list I am shocked that most of well know brands should sell their products at all!!

A reasonably priced product, easy to swallow and Uk manufactured.

They're easy to swallow. Only time will tell if they have helped my eyes!! Not a bad price but only for a 2 month supply.
